Just curious... what is the easiest way to get the green melted plastic off the bottom of my clubs without damaging them? Any help is greatly appreciated...
I hit my clubs new X22's at the range and love them but wanted to cry seeing all the crud on the bottom

I use a brush, hot water and a wooden tee, get's the club clean every time.

Brush and water would be suffice. If the stain is still stubborn, get some acetone or golf club cleaner.

Cool I'll try some of that tomorrow. I got my new golf shoes tonight they are Adidas Powerband's they are nice I might go walk nine tomorrow just to feel them out... Picked them up for 35 bucks brand new... look just like my sneakers I wear all the time.

A good round of golf will do it every time. Leave the mat crap on your clubs, make a tee time and go play. When you are done, the mat crap will be off of all the clubs you used during that round. If there are still clubs with mat crap on them, I suggest you make a tee time at a different course and play again. Repeat as many times as necessary

Same here. I'm sorta goofy that way, always try to clean my sticks up after the range. I know the plastic stuff will wear off in time....but I like to peel it off anyway.

I do not understand this statement. If you are to swing down on a ball, you are going to graze the mat with the edge of the underside of the club - sometimes leaving mat residue. I just lick my thumb and rub the marks (just once, to get a little mositure on it) and then use my towl and they come right off.

On the contrary, the best swing will get mat marks. Someone trying to pick the ball off the ground will not get marks, but it won't yield as good results.

I was going to say the same thing. My clubs tend to have more junk on the bottom when I am swinging well...or at least I feel as though I am swinging well.

Exactly! I also always feel the best when the lines are perfectly strait. I used to have slice marks.

As for the one post about working on my swing... Just curious how you take a divot out without ever hitting the ground with your clubs. I guess everyone on here is doing it wrong...

I agree. Acetone disolves most plastice, but doesn't damage metal.

Note: don't get it on the ferrel of your club. It will dissolve it.
