I play it in my TEE 3wd right now. They're low to mid launch, seem to be low to mid spin as well for me. Nice solid shaft although it feels a little softer in the butt section to me.

Awesome
I also noticed your driver shaft weighs more than your 3WD shaft. Does that play well?

Easily my favorite driver shaft. I had one in my Tour Burner until it got broken in a car wreck. For me, that shaft was easily 15 yards longer than the stock shaft I had to put back in. When I got fitted for it at Golf Galaxy, I was launching the 9.5* driver at 12-13* with 2800-2900 RPM and ball speeds in the upper 150's to 160. Swing speed was 108-110. This was with the NV 65 Stiff. The only reason I haven't put one back in is because I plan to do an upgrade of the entire bag next season. I don't think you could go wrong with one... espcially the new 54.99 price point they are going for.

low to mid trajectory shaft, great response and a nice ball flight for woods and drivers. i have one in my hybrid and love it, great piercing ball flight that still manages to land softly. had one in a ping g5 driver 8 degree loft and it launched far too low for me. that was probably more the loft than anything. great shaft for a good price.

It's a nice cheap shaft that helps keep the flight down a bit. Good feel. My one complaint is that I really need to load up the shaft and rip it for a consistent shot. Luckily it loads very easily. I find it very dependent on your tempo.

What kind of tempo is necessary?

Will i also lose some carry for more roll with the shaft?

I have 240 carry with 265 distance. How would you guess these would change with this shaft?

It all depends on launch angle, spin and clubhead speed. You won't be able to tell until you try it. I would go to a Golf Galaxy, Edwin Watts, Golfsmith or somewhere like that that has your FT-9 in an IMIX model and try every shaft.

I just replaced a stock S shaft in my hybrid with a NV 95-X. This may or may not be helpful if you are looking for something lighter and softer, but I like the feel and ball flight of the NV shaft quite a bit.

Do you lose carry on any shots?

If anything I picked up a few yards, although I was looking to lower my ball flight as is. The thing I noticed most is reduced shot dispersion, which was a big plus as this is my tee club for tight holes.

I just bought a used 10.5 degree TM Burner for $53 and decided to take the crappy shaft that comes with it out. I went with the Aldila NV (green shaft) with a great price point in the mid $40's. So for under $100 I got a new driver and am hoping the club will produce a solid feel. They golf tech guy said it was a solid combo to stop ballooning.

I've found the NV green stiff to be a good, stable standard shaft. IMO their stiff isn't as stiff as other graphite stiff shafts and I get a nice high ball flight with the ones I've used.

I'm think'n that if you have a quick transition and or tempo that this shaft mite not be able to keep up.

So, I'd suggest play'n it for awhile and see what you think.

I played this shaft in my Mizuno Mp-600. I had an issue with Ballooning my drivers and it was robbing my distance. Only problem I saw (which IMO is my swing not the shaft) is that I get like zero roll. I usually see a ball mark within 5 feet of my ball. I bought a TM Superfast 2.0 yesterday, so the Mizuno has gone to the corner of the living room for now. Good luck.

I have one (Aldila NV stiff) paired with my older Tour Edge Exotics head.  I have a stock shaft in my Ping G10 driver currently and I think I'm going to switch and put the Aldila NV in it, instead.  It's a great shaft!

    • I have nothing to add other than I freaking love her swing and I think she's hot as hell and some of my golfing buddies disagree so I fought them

How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.
