I am 14, around 6 foot tall.

Is there any point getting custom fitted right now? Should I wait until I finish growing?

Would getting taller affect how upright/flat a lie I'd need?

Well, that depends who your current irons are fit for. If they were good for you at 5'10, they aren't likely to be terrible for you at 6'. However, if they are off-the-rack 5'8", you might want to look into it.

While the right fit for your clubs is going to vary a bit in the next few years, you probably don't want to remain too far from it, for risk of picking up bad habits by compensation.

I may offer a suggestion... Get some nicer clubs (forged) mainly because they bend so easily and as you grow, they can be readjusted... as you grow they can also be lengthened. if you get cast, they don't bend well and if you have to bend them +2 degrees, they are very brittle.

Anyway I would get fitted now, and again every 3 months as your body changes... consider it like somethign fun to do... it doesn't take long and you'll notice all the difference in the world!

Well it depends. Are your parents willing to pay for you to get fitted. If so then do it. If not, then wait a couple of years.

It depends on whether or not you are still growing. If you are, there is no reason to, unless you can afford new irons every year. If you are done growing, then getting fit might help you.

+1

Pick up a used set of forged irons that are more or less your specs and get them adjusted to fit you.

I am 14, around 6 foot tall.

Go the cheap way out. If there is a Ping fitting center near you, go there and play around with the different lies (color codes) and shafts. You could have different 10 players at 6' tall and they all might have different requirements. Im almost 6' 3" and play with the older Tourney irons that are considered to be about a 1/2" shorter by todays standards. I have them adjusted at 1 degree upright, and thats about it. I have XX-large glove type hands..... but prefer thinner grips. A fitting center would be a good idea. You could always incorporate what you learned into you current set of irons if you want to keep them. Your only 14 and already at 6 feet. I am betting that you may eventually need some adgustments, but nothing too crazy right now.

When you hit your irons, you'll see that the face will have dirt on the bottom half. If the line formed by the top of the dirt goes straight across, then the club is the right lie angle. If it is sloped, i.e. the dirt is much higher on one side, then you need a lie adjustment. It's a fairly easy way to tell, and it costs nothing.

thanks for all the advice.

I probably won't be buying new clubs for a few years anyway, I'll try out your tip shanks.
