Okay, I had to work on a poster presentation yesterday and so I bought a poster from staples and had to transport it via subway. The subway was packed and i had to get this big ass board in there...

So Im standing up in front of the seated people and I made every attempt not to hit people and I did a pretty good job at it (my board only touched the butt of this lady standing up, at this point), so apparently my board moved a bit from the jerky breaking (of the train) and touched the leg of this seated woman. This woman KICKS MY BOARD, I looked down at her to see if that just actually happened, so Im like whatever. Instead of a "please get your board away from my leg" she kicks it and then looks away like it was the right thing to do.

Next stop everyone is getting off so I had to manipulate my board so people can get out, I lifted the board up WITHOUT TOUCHING anyone, and that lady (in her 40s) who kicks my board is like "you better not touch my leg" or "you better not hit my leg" (i forgot which). Im a polite person, I said "im sorry" and flash her a smile, she replies "youre going to be sorry if you touch (or hit) my leg with that board."

Now at that point, I was tired (going on only 2-4 hours of sleep for every two days for about 3 weeks now), annoyed (Ive performed below my standards in 3 straight exams now), and just overall in a bad mood. I really felt like at that point if she would have touched me, I would have punched her in the face and it would have felt great.

I doubt I really would have punched her, because its inconceivable to hit a woman, but man, people like that is one of the reasons that I cannot wait to move out of NYC.

As someone on the L.A. side of the L.A./NYC divide, I have to tell you: jerks are not a New York City only phenomenon.

I'll be honest, I was waiting to hear "So I hit the woman as hard as I could with my board, and watched her skull splatter on the pavement of the platform as the doors of the train closed and sped away. Now I'm posting here because I'm wanted for murder." MAYBE something a little less dramatic, but still something to catch my interest. God I am a sick kind of person.

This is one of the exact reasons I moved out of Chicago and now live in a house where I can't even see neighbors. I also have a 3 minute commute to work. One stop sign...no lights. People ate the worst. You held your tongue a lot better than I would have...good for you.

I've never experienced as much rudeness as when I went to NYC for work a few days ago... I'm from North Carolina and I can honestly say, NO ONE is as mean, impolite, inconsiderate, and downright rude as I met in NYC.

We have these things called cars here where i live, no subways. Only thing underground is probably some moles tearing the crap out of your yard. I guess in big cities people use public transportation, i dont think it even exists here. You have no control over what anyone else does when you get on there. The fact that you're a kid means you'll get no respect from anyone, thats just how many people are. Some people just arent suitable for anything more than alligator bait.

My response would have been, "Sorry ma'am. Perhaps if it wasn't so large and space consuming, I could avoid it."

my response would have been the same just instead of referring to the poster board being so large i would have said if YOU wernt so large and maybe walked instead of riding it wouldnt of touched you.
