just stole this question from the GC, and found it interesting. the poll was in favor of mcdowell by a pretty good margin. but louis really grew on me this weekend and i look to see him get more serious about his golf. he's proven he can hit the shots, and i think he's got enough talent to be top 10. so i'm going with oostie.

Since Lee Janzen isn't an option, I'll go with McDowell. He seems a lot less lke a "flash in the pan".

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

How about 'both the above'?

They're both good, have both shown they can stand up and handle pressure and both young enough to do a lot more (although G-Mac does wear a cardigan, which is v old-fashioned!)

I don't think either of them will win another major but if I had to pick it would be Oosthiezen.

Peter Alliss mentioned some stat about margin of victory favoring Oosthuizen. Apparently, 14 players have previously won a major by seven strokes or more and, of those, 12 subsequently went on to win at least one more major.

Im going with McDowell. He seems like his game is well suited to tough conditions. Im not discounting Oosthiezen's romp at the open, but he caught some favorable breaks with the weather, especially during round 2.

I'll pick Louis for another reason -- his driving game and distance. This makes him a contender at the PGA and masters every year and the british when it is at st. andrews and a few others.

If either of them wins another, it would likely be the PGA and i think louie has more game at those set ups.
