To all you Mizuno lovers, you have company. I have been using Callaway X Forged with Project X shafts for 3 years now and was in the market for some new irons. I wasn't happy with the mishits on the Callaways and the Project X shaft flighted the ball to high for me.

I tested every club on the market and liked many of them a lot including: TM MBs, Callaway Razors, Adams CB1, and Titleist AP2s. But there was only one i really truly loved and that was the Mizuno MP 63s. The S300 shafts gave me a much better ball flight, I was hitting them at least 5 yard further than any of the others, and the solid feel was second to none.

I honestly never thought I would be a Mizuno guy, but it's done! I ordered them today and am really excited.

Can any Mizuno lovers or haters share a similar story?

63's are the first mizuno's i have owned and i love them. Switched from KZG Zo Blades which i just got last year and was in love with... never thought i would switch so soon, but the 63's are special.

Sorry, had to put that pic up! LOL

Personally, I bought a set of Mizuno irons last year and it was all over after that.  Mizuno makes quality stuff and while other companies make great stuff too I find myself leaning towards Mizuno clubs over and over.  Now Ive got a JPX-800 3-wood, CLK hybrid, MP-32 irons, 54 and 56 degree Mizzie wedges, Mizuno bag and wear Mizuno gloves.  Im a bit obsessed, but Im OK with that.

Id probably be playing Mizuno balls and wearing Mizuno golf shoes if they were available in the U.S.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

What is up with the lack of Mizuno golf shoes?  I mostly knew Mizuno as a maker of great shoes in my pre-golf days.  I am shocked that they don't sell golf shoes here.

The only person who would say that is a person who has never hit a Mizuno iron.  Once you've used them, you know you'll never change.

I would be pretty confident that if there was no such thing as a professional contract, the vast majority of pros would play Mizunos.

Trevino and Faldo did when they had NO club contracts, which says a lot.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I used to wear them all the time because they fit my feet and were well made. I was a Mizuno shoe fanboy (golf and baseball) before I even owned Mizzy irons. I just wish I hadn't got the permanent spikes in my last couple pairs. Donated them to Goodwill.

PS. I thought this thread was going to be about a guy switching from players irons to SGI irons

From what Ive been told by the Mizuno reps that Ive talked to, Mizuno isnt going to attempt to compete in the shoe market because the market is oversaturated.  The golf shoe market is already crowded and for what it would cost Mizuno to get into that market it just doesnt make sense for them from a business standpoint.  They are a small company compared to Titleist, Callaway and TM and they simply dont have the money or resources to compete in every aspect of golf.  They are perfectly happy just being a clubmaker.

If you wear a size 10 or smaller you could order a Japanese market pair of Mizzie shoes form Tourspecgolf.  http://www.tourspecgolf.com/m15/Mizuno/index.html

Me being a size 12 wide am pretty much outta luck thought.
I  honestly was tempted to just buy a pair of Mizuno running shoes with a luggy sole on them and wear those for golf shoes but last weekend I bought a pair of Adidas AdiComforts, so thats out.

My current sneakers are size 9.5 (Nike, U.S. Men's size);  my next might well be 10.  When I started graduate school (Fall 2005), I wore size 7 shoes.

Either way, 9.5 or 10, once I figure it out, I may have to order a pair of Mizuno golf shoes.  My initial plan had been to get new shoes this summer and have both pairs be the same brand, so maybe two pairs of Mizunos.

Thanks for the info about Mizuno's non-entrance into the market, and their reasons.  I gather this means that they do sell golf shoes in Japan?

No need to refer to Mizuno as "the dark side" because they make great clubs and everyone knows it.  I've wanted some Mizuno irons but don't have to balance luxury vs. necessity with the family.  I had Mizuno wedges (MP Black) until one was left on the course during a not-so-sober scramble and the other was later roughed up after my 2-year-old happened to slam it around the garage and take out some little chunks.

What's in the Bag:

3-wood: Taylormade Burner 15*
Hybrid: Taylormade Burner 19*
Irons: Callaway XR

Wedges: Vokey 50*, 54*, 58*
Putter: Scotty Newport Studio

I was using a set of taylormade lts before I switched to my mp 68s.  I never thought I would have changed to blades so soon but got them cheap custom fitted and I can only say I will never change or even consider looking at another set of clubs again they are unbelievable and perfect in every way.

I recently picked up some used MP-33 irons for a song and got them fit to me.  They're my first Mizuno irons and right now I can't see myself ever going back to another manufacturer.

i have switched twice from mizuno and only have one round on i10's....they had the wrong lie,  shaft and grip for my swing and didnt want to throw 300 bucks into them, they were pretty worn.....i miss the mizuno's already......your right once you have owned a set of mizuno's its hard to go back to the others...........prolly get the jpx800 pro's or the 63/58? which ever mp series that is their most forgiving, i actually owned a set of hogan apex plus before mizuno and that was a nice club as well

I wasn't aware that they ever made shoes...

To the OP, congrats on the new irons... while I've never played Mizuno irons myself, I've never heard of anybody playing them that didn't absolutely love them.  I do have a Mizuno driver that I love..

Not a problem, Im enough of a Mizuno fan that Ive contacted them about stuff like this and have talked to their reps at the local golf show.  I think the golf show guys get annoyed with me because I seem to know more about the product than they do. LOL

Yup, just go to that link that I provided and you can order them.  Just be forewarned that the shipping will be kind of pricey and it will take you weeks to get your stuff (might even take a month or 2).

Last year I bought a JDM Mizuno putter cover and it took 6 weeks for it to arrive.

I too, seem to be helplessly addicted to my Mizuno irons.

I was like a lot of ppl who had heard of the "budda" feeling of Mizuno irons, but had no idea what that felt like. I thought that the ppl who posted how buttery soft they felt where high on something. Then I made up a combo set of 60's & 32's and found out what they all meant by the buttery soft feel of mizuno when pured.

I have different sets of irons and will play them, but when it comes right down to it, I'll take my Mizzy's.

I used to think Mizunos were overrated.  Then I tried them and then I understood what everyone was talking about.  It used to be that Mizuno was great in irons and that was just about it, but lately they have come out with a lot of new, awesome products and you could now say they are among the best in just about everything.

Even their drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and wedges are some of the best there is.
