I'm on a quest to hit the ball 300 yards and I have just ordered a Hammer driver which states 50 yards more off the tee.... while looking over the forum i saw an add for the perfect connection golf swing and it states using this swing you will hit over 300 yards.

So, thinking to myself if i get this new swing along with my hammer driver I'll be hitting close to 350 off the tee. What do you guys think??? and has anyone tried this new swing method???

I think that if you want to improve your game and drop your 20+ handicap, learn a more controlled swing, learn your irons, learn your short game then putting. If you want to do a long drive contest and that's what matters, then by all means do what you wanna do.

I played with this kid once and he drives at full force all the time... 280-290 yards... into the water on the left or the fairway on the right.

His short game stinks, his putting was so so. But he acts all huffy and puffy, at the end of the round, his score was very high.

I hit my ball at personal record of 327yds. But that's once in a while when everything "feels" perfect. I average 287yds.

However I'd have been happy at 275-280 yds as long as I can place my balls in the fairway at a good position for my next iron shot.

Right now my approach shot / iron play is most important to me. Heck, I'll even be happy with a 265yds drive as long as I position it perfectly.

So think about your golf strategy, then decide wisely and maturely.

You could also get the Whoosh! Swing trainer they are always advertising on the Golf Channel. It's "scientifically proven" in allowing you to gain 7-10 mph in swing speed...

You combine that with the above mentioned and you'll be driving par 5's in no time....

The War Sticks:

Hybrid: Ping G10 22*

Irons:Mizuno MP32's 3-PW (bought used for $189)

Wedges: Cleveland CG14 52*, 56*

Putter: An old Ram Laser...lol...but it works

Ball: Srixon Q-star

  1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAHH...this thread is funny.  THE HAMMMMMMMERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!!!!    Please tell me you are joking O.P.....please.  The hammer driver is a joke.  If you are not joking then I will be serious.  Infomercials are b.s.  I wouldn't listen to 80% that they say.  I don't know why it matters to you to hit it over 300 yards.  But the driver doesn't mean much at all.  And if it did, the "hammer" wouldn't help you at all.  It's a piece of junk.  If you can swing the club 115 mph and hit the sweet spot and swing on plane then you can hit it down the middle 300....if not, then worry about putting, chipping and approach shots.  Because that is way more important than a 300 yard drive....

And finally, let us not forget the perfect ball to complement all the other **** you've purchased. May introduce you to the Condor S ball..."the ball that flies too far." It even outhit the mighty Titleist Pro V1....because that's relevant.

I currently use the Perfect Plane Stack and Morad Tilt Connection swing along with a Hammer driver and twice now I've had third degree burns on my hands from the flames that appear on the shaft with the speed of my swing. Bleeding ears from sonic booms are normality at my club nowadays...

BOOM!

I'm thinking about switching out my driver for a high velocity trebuchet...

You'd have to make sure it was rule conforming. I believe there's a certain amount of lean required in the shaft of a club (hence we can't use pendulum putters) so you'd have to figure out a way to fire it on an angle. ;)

First and quite possibly the last time that I'll see the word "trebuchet" in this forum.  Well done!

    • Day 133 (25 Apr 24) - Worked with the Divot Board today added a piece of cardboad behind the ball to help reinforce ball first contact. Contact improved through the round.   Added grandson's football goal posts about 10yds out to add a good start line visual Good session today.
    • Day 120: 4/25/24 Full Speed Spectrum training session. Low energy today and my speed was lower than normal. Will see what I can do on Saturday.
    • Day 541, April 25, 2024 Ten minutes after lessons. Still not caught up, but should be by tomorrow evening.
    • Playing irons only may lead to some short-term gains, but you'll want to at least practice with the driver if you ultimately have some decently good goals.
    • He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
