Good drill, but not a legal "stroke".

I do not think he is intending for it to become your new swing but instead a training drill to ingrain a square putter face in your stroke.

And BTW, he is extremely irritating.

Yeah, that counts as pushing, scraping, or spooning the ball, as opposed to fairly striking at it.

Greg Norman mentioned that drill, its to help you from breaking down your wrist in the butting stroke

I made the mistake of clicking on this one after a siesta. Twitch boy, and his camera man had my eyes crossed. I was taught this drill in my first putting lesson. Along with ingraining keeping energy down the target line it also helps players eliminate deceleration in putting by indirectly eliminating long take-aways.

i played with a professional baseball player  a few weeks ago and he had a long putter and would stand to the side of the ball and his stroke was off to the side and his bottom hand was fingers down. he said it was like throwing a washer. very interesting but seemed to work rather well. id rather use the consistency of my shoulders than my arm though. to each his own.

Have you watched the movie 7 Days in Utopia? That putting stoke is used on that movie.

No its not allowed but he is just using it as a putting drill which can be pretty affective I dont tend to use it however because i start to hit short jabby putts which I dont like.
