I'm starting to walk the course more and more, so that I can prepare easier for high school golf, and I'm looking at getting a scorecard holder. But I want one that holds a stat keeper, so I can also keep my stats. Does anyone have some suggestions?

This is what I do now,  and what I did then.....

I fold it,  and keep it in my back pocket,  and make a system  (dashes/numbers/whatever)  for putts etc.  on the extra lines.    What type of stats do you need?  I think you can fit it all on the standard scorecard really,  no holder necessary.

on our scorecards there are a total of 6 lines for names. I keep my own scorecard and on the top line is my score for the hole, then underneath on the next line is "fairways", GIR, putts, U&D;, and penalties.

My Bag:

Burner 9.5

X 3&5 Woods

DCI Gold 3- PW(48*) + 52* Vokey wedge

56* sand wedge

I want fairways, GIR's, putts, up and down, and penalties

Why not just use the rest of the spaces on a normal scorecard? I do: Score Fairways (check or right/left arrow) GIR (check or no check) Putts (amount of putts in center, first putt distance in corner) U&D; (either UD with/without a strikethrough, or SS with/without strikethrough) Penalties (1, 2, 3, etc.)

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

I do the same. Scorecards usually have spaces for up to 8 players. I don't usually track the other guys in my group during a casual round of golf. If I golf with some buddies, at least 1 guy keeps score for everyone. That 1 person is not me.

If you want a holder, you can get a cheap one at TGW.com.

I do the same as Jamo but use "G" for GIR.  With Fairway I use and arrow with L R or F.

I keep track of my score, fairways, GIR, putts, Up & Downs, Sandies, and length of first putt using two lines on the scorecard. Score on first line with a superscript for number of putts. The arrow is for fairway hit or left/right of fairway. Second line is for Up & down, Sand Saves, and GIR. If you don't make your U & Down or Sand Save you draw a line through it. The number on the second line is for the length of first putt. If I have any penalty stroke(s) I put them in the upper left hand corner.

I'm using Scorecard to keep track of all my stats. Really great program. Check it out at http://cynicalpeak.com/scorecard/
