I was already planning on posting this thread and then I read various comments about putter length that made me even more curious.

What is the length of your putter? If you don't mind, I'd also be curious as to how tall you are. I'm 5'9" and my putter is 34". I'm actually contemplating taking another half inch/inch off of it but am worried about making it too short.

I am 5'10" and I use a 35" putter. I likle to stand tall over my putts. I feel I can see the line better.

I'm 6'3 and my putter is 34".

I think arm length is more of a determinant than total height. Some people like to let their arms hang down and swing freely. Others like to bend their elbows during their stroke. Whatever works best.

Striper: I totally agree. It was more curiousity than anything else. Plus, it's hard for me to ask how long your arms are, bent, hanging, etc. Guess I didn't want the question to be too complex

5'10" or so and 33". If I am forced to use a 34" putter (which, from Scotty Cameron, has a head that weighs 10 grams less), I grip down about an inch.

I used to switch lengths and putters fairly often. Comfortable now with 34" and play 2 different varieties of Wilson Staff.
1. WS #8872 mallet
2. WS Kirk Currie KC1 (3 adjustable head weights. And butt weight options)

I'm 5'6" as well and use a 34". My putting has been awful the past two weeks so I think I may be going to a belly putter over the winter if it doesn't improve in the next couple months./

I was already planning on posting this thread and then I read various comments about putter length that made me even more curious.

I'm 6'4'' and I had mine extended to 37 inches. Hunching over the putter kept me from relaxing, and led to some really ugly scores on the greens. I don't choke down at all.

I'm 5'10" and use a 33" putter. Something just felt right when I tried it against 34-35" putters of the same type.

35" at the moment, I find it comfortable but I've been advised to cut it to about 32" because apparently it will make me a much better putter.

im 6'1 and just 3 inches off my putter and had it regripped. it was a 35" and i feel a lot more cofortable now that i can use the grip with both hands instead of just my left. my right hand was on the shaft before i had it cut. i like the height better but i miss the weight, i may add some with lead tape, where should it be added to a small mallet style putter like my Odyssey dual force 330?

I'm 5'8" and use a 31.75 inch putter. I went to the store and let my arms hang to comfortable length with my eyes over the ball and that was the perfect length. I would recommend getting fit for a putter because angle and length can have a great effect on your putting and that's almost half your strokes.

I'm 5'7 and use a 35' putter. However I like to stand tall and have lowered my putting average by three a round since I swapped from my 33' putter.
