Just noticed guys like Brendan DeJong & Charles Howell III are not even entered to play.    Clearly, these guys have played well enough to qualify this year ... seems totally bizarre why anyone who qualifies would not take advantage of playing a major !      Do not understand this ... your thoughts ??

Edit: They didn't qualify.

Charles Howell III is not playing for one simple reason - he did not qualify. He played in the Columbus sectional (after the Memorial) and shot -3 for his 36 holes that day, however it took -8 to get into the playoff for one of the spots in the Open

Brendan DeJong it appears did not attempt to qualify

OK - thanks.    I'm shocked BDJ & CH3 didn't qualify ... both those guys kicked butt this year  (or so I thought).
