Quote notification bug?

I got an email saying that @iacas had quoted me in a post but when I followed the link Erik had quoted @MS256 . Odd. I thought I'd post about it here in case anyone else had noticed similar site behaviour.

Maybe Erik quoted me by accident and then edited the post?

That's happened a couple times to me.  I wonder if the person actually quoted had previously quoted us and the notification picked up on the nested, prior post?

I think some people have reported this from other forums. I'll post here when I have more, but in the meantime, paste screenshots of the emails and copy the links that direct you to the site. That's necessary to troubleshoot this.

Lately I've recieved several E-Mail notifications of replies to comments somebody else made. Sort of makes me do a double take when I see the name of the thread and have no memory of commenting in that thread. ;-)
