I don't see a thread on this yet so I'd thought I'd start one.

What do you guys think? This season looks to be far better than the last few, I can't wait.

What makes you think so?  I haven't caught any of the previews.

Well I watched the meet the players and everyone seemed pretty cool. And there doesn't really seem to be anyone annoying like Anthony was last season. Also it's not coed this time, not that I have anything against the ladies I just don't like the coed seasons that I have seen. Yea those two brothers have a bunch of trick shot videos, I think they will be interesting to watch and see how well they can actually play. Now hopefully they added a host that can add to the show, last season Page was terrible.

Anthony was the only person that was worth watching last season, IMO.  I really liked him and hoped he'd win.  I didn't watch the finale b/c Jimmy and Toph were way too annoying.

Really, he was entertaining but he was just childish and arrogant, I really liked Jimmy and wanted him to win.

Different strokes.

I felt Anthony was one of the only true authentic competitors.  Jimmy was boring/not entertaining in my book.  He didn't really bring anything, IMO.

I can agree with that, the whole show was just boring and un-eventful other than the stuff Anthony did.

I really hope they have some parity, too.  The season they had Sadena and Jackie, besides Mary, it was so obvious they were far and away the best golfers.  So, when they got to the finals and it was Jackie and Fiamma, it was so anticlimactic.

Exactly. OT here: but it dawned on me how similar the Symetra Tour and BB were for Sadena and Jackie. Sadena was hot and cold. Won two tour events I think. But also missed cuts. Jackie never won (I think) but was typically competitive week to week. Both styles worked to get them their LPGA cards for 2015 by being top 10 money list on Symetra. But Jackie's consistency is what was needed to win BB. You can't have crappy streaks or you're gonna get picked off. On tour though, I think it pays off to be flashy and streaky (to an extent). Anyway, I'll start reading up on the cast for this bb. Hope it's not a dud like the last one.

Hmm, :offtopic: but...
I wonder if Jackie was happy here because she figured she was well on her way to getting her LPGA card: Nah, it was probably because she was able to take a picture with this ridiculously good looking guy. B-)
Anthony was obnoxious.  If he was a true competitor he wouldn't have choked.  I agree the show would have been intolerably boring without him but in general I don't like loudmouths who can't back up what they say.

I think he was arrogant and didn't care for most of the other competitors and wasn't afraid to show it. A demeanor like that is going to put off some people so I'm not surprised his brashness would rub people the wrong way. You make it seem like he got beat in the middle of the series rather than the second to last show. I think he performed very well and did indeed, "back up," what he said. I personally think Jimmy got lucky to win and, tbh, I think you need luck to win. For example, Fiamma got into the finals, not because she was one of the best two competitors (at best she was fourth best), but because she got lucky. Sometimes luckboxes do better than you'd expect. It happens.

I didn't mind Page....Tom Abbott is more annoying to me more than anything else.

I like Paige too ... she's getting better the more camera time she gets.    Abbott isn't bad, but can be irritating ...

Stack System’s marketing materials inflate apparent swing speed and distance gains through selective presentment of data without qualification that purported gains are not the result, in whole or part, of its training protocol and products. * Yes, I'm joking about abbreviating both "SS." SuperSpeed wants: A judgment that the Stack System has disseminated false and/or misleading information in violation of federal and Illinois law. The deletion of all false advertising distributed and recall of all packaging containing false advertising and a requirement that Stack System issue notices (written or otherwise) to that effect to all current distributors and retailers of its products and all distributors with whom Stack System has done business in the past eighteen months. Written confirmation within 30 days of an injunction detailing the manner and form in which Stack System has complied. An order that Stack System disseminate corrective advertising informing consumers, the trade, and the public of Stack System’s unlawful conduct. 3X all profits received by Stack System as a result of its unlawful actions. 3X all damages sustained by SuperSpeed (as a result of Stack System’s actions) The cost of the action All reasonable attorney fees All other relief to which SuperSpeed are entitled and such other or additional relief as just and proper. Oy.
    • I'm not doing this for the hundred and twentieth time. Sorry in advance, but you get the massively abridged version. Those guys also benefited from the weaker/shallower fields. Also, Watson's career doesn't overlap with Jack's like many think it did. Tom is nearly a decade younger. Jack won only like four majors only after Tom won his first. And Tom won more British Opens than he did all three of the other majors combined, as it was his specialty (not Jack's). Arnie's career similarly doesn't overlap Jack's as much as many think.   Jack would also tell you Tiger was the better golfer.
    • Weaker depth of fields for sure. Some of the top level guys with Jack were pretty awesome. Tom Watson had the lead on the 72nd hole of the 2009 British Open, an event where Tiger missed the cut. Old Tom was almost 60 years old. Jack himself at age 58 finished Top 10 at The 1998 Masters and scored better than Tiger, who won The Masters by 12 shots just a year before that.   The success of both Tom & Jack in older age gives some hope that maybe Tiger can find the magic again at some point. He’s still trying to figure out how to build the stamina for 72 holes after the leg injury. I would love to see him jump on the leaderboard in the coming years. I know a lot of people have given up on him at this point, but that was also true from 2014 to 2017 with the back injuries. He had a hell of a resurgence in 2018 & 2019. Would be fun to see it again.
    • Perceptive rules question by caddie unlocks Tour pro’s ‘dead zone’ relief A perceptive rules question by Xander Schauffele’s caddie, Austin Kaiser, unlocked “dead zone” relief during the Wells Fargo Championship.
    • I ran across an interesting new clip, Johnson Wagner went into that spot with the Referee who allowed the relief.  Apparently there was a perfectly reasonable shot to be made, as Johnson clearly demonstrated, so relief from the TIO was perfectly appropriate.
