Good Day. It's been suggested that I try the Mizuno JPX EZ, but they don't make them for lefties.  I'm looking for suggestions on something comparable. Thanks.

Hi! Do you mean the standard JPX EZ or the forged? What about it are you looking for in terms of being comparable? The game improvement nature of the clubs or the gunmetal finish or both? If you're looking for the combo of similar looks and help, I'd suggest the Taylormade Speedblade. It's super forgiving, very popular, has a great gunmetal finish, and can be had for really cheap now. If the finish is less than important you're in the game improvement category generally and there's dozens of just current year models, never mind going back a year or two to save money for similar performance.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm looking more for the game improvement, something a bit forgiving.

The Mizuno JPX-850 is a game improvement iron but they aren't forged.

There is a forged version for lefties. I tried a 6i and it was really sweet. . .

I tried the JPX-EZ and the JPX-850 for lefties as well, and didn't like the sound as much. The forged really do sound nicer off the face.

I own the 850 forged, they are not very GI, especially not compared to the EZ.  Mizuno recommends the JPX-EZ for 10-35 handicappers (RH only), the JPX-850 Forged are recommended for 6-16 and the JPX-850 are for 10-25 cappers and are available in LH.

I would suggest the ping g30s. I was disappointed that mixing doesn't cater to us lefties. I am very pleased with my pings. Give them a try and get fitted.

True, but the OP is a 16HC, so it seems like he could use them (I'm only a 13-ish and found the one 6i to be pretty easy to hit even though it's like my 5i). Really bad shots seemed okay on the simulator. Probably would have sliced into another green in real life, though. :-X

These seemed nice too, but don't look as nice as the JPX-850 Forged.

I would try the following:

Ping G30  - very forgiving and easy to hit

TM RSI1's - has the groove slots on the face - helps with mishits

Mizuno JPX 850 - newer version of the JPX 825 below

Nike Vapor Speed - look sharp and hit well

Callaway XR - very new - haven't hit them yet

Cleveland 588 MT - cheaper than other major name brands but very forgiving

Mizuno JPX 825 - should be able to get a great deal on these since they are older

All should be comparable to the JPX EZ line.

Nice review lineup! I still think the 850 forged with Boron, looks much nicer. . .
