Practice with Airflow/Wiffle balls

Ive recemtly been spending a lot of time sorting my swing after recovery from a knee injury and all is good  so far but here is the problem. On the range im hitting it better than ever but as soon as i go to the small practice area (you can hit up to 9 iron) it all goes to pot.

I think its down to subconciously not wanting to get a flyer and hitting it onto the adjoining road so i end up coming out of the swing and topping it

so i have thought about using airflow practice balls so i can just not think about it and still work on contact.

Would this be an ok sort of practice aid as we dont have grass driving ranges round here.

Does anyone else routinely use them?

There is a gizmo out on the market called a "Birdie Ball".  It does not look like a ball at all, but more like a short piece of PVC pipe. I was skeptical at first, but I gave these critters a try anyway. Surprisingly they did fly like a golf ball. they would curve, or go reasonably straight depending on the golfer's swing.

There are some foam balls available now that are limited flight, that will fly as hit by the golfers.

Whiffle balls are fine, but I would use one of the other two first. Whiffle balls, although very inexpensive, will dent, and eventually break when hit incorrectly.

Callaway makes a nerf type ball.

Very similar to the Pelz ball, which I have never tried.

The callaway nerf ball can fly about 60 yards with a driver.

But only have about 20 yards and it then my neighbors yard begins.

So I spend most my time just short chipping with the nerf balls.
they work great and allow me to work on my swing.

I have some of the Pelz Almost Golf balls.   They aren't bad and have limited flight, about 1/3 distance.

I was going to try those as well, but my yard is small and if I shank one it is liable to break my window or worse my neighbors.
