aside from wearing sunglasses, what can i do to reduce or eliminate glare from a wedge's club face?

i have a mizuno t7 60* in the satin finish that produces a lot of glare when i open it up. it can be temporarily blinding at worst and distracting at best.

thank you!

I suggest playing only in cloudy conditions.  :)

thanks, that's a good option to have. and coincidentally i just finished reading an article about this now.

it appears i'd have to remove the finish, which i'm not opposed to, but i'd welcome another option that doesn't require removing the club head, soaking in coke, scrubbing, torching, and then re-shafting. 😅

the other thing is, according to the article i read, rusting appears to wear out the grooves more quickly and can get messy/transfer to other surfaces. do you know if that's accurate?

par for the course up here in the PNW! well at least for 8-9 months out of the year in the PDX metro area. 😂

ok, it appears torching the club may be unnecessary. "coking" it while still in the shaft and spraying salt water could be just what's needed:

i plan to start the process today and see if i can get this solved by mid-week next week.

If you get some 600 or 800 grit sand paper, you can experiment with dulling the finish a bit.

thanks, this is a good idea. did some double-checking and apparently the t7 wedges are chrome plated. would probably take bit more than coke to get them back their raw state. 😂
