I see he missed the cut at the Rocket Mortgage "Classic" (Not sure how they can call it a classic when it's the first year, but, OK). Dustin seems to be a bit wild off the tee lately and his putting has been none to sharp, either. Wonder what's up. Just having a temporary slump, I suppose.

You’re correct about driving accuracy. But he’s ranked 14th in SG putting for the year, so that’s not the issue.

Distance is more important than accuracy with driver (see total driving favoring distance heavily), but you still gotta have a ball in play with a good luck at getting the GIR. He’s not.

How frequently do they update the SG stats? From what I've seen lately his baby fade has too often turned into a grownup fade leaving him in the nasties for his next shot. I do wish I could whack a few with his length but even 35 years ago that was beyond my limited skill set.

Where’d you see that? The official PGA TOUR STAT site has DJ at 26th for SGP.

I saw it on the PGA tour app last night; perhaps he dropped or they updated it.  Still, I don't see putting as his primary issue.

People forget how difficult and rare it is for a player to maintain a top-notch, top-3 level game for more than a couple of years.  It doesn't matter if you are Rory, Justin (rose), Dustin, Justin (Thomas), or Jordan.  And that will, in all liklihood, be the case with Brock.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s going through some personal stuff as well. Don’t know if that’s the case, just wouldn’t be surprised. It’s DJ and it’s Paulina so who knows. That can affect your mentality out there and your practice time. But he’ll get it fixed in no time. He’s too good.

I hate to admit this but it makes me feel better after I've played badly.  I say to myself, "If the top golfer in the world is struggling, then it's not so horrible if I'm struggling also."  This is why Tiger's run was all the more remarkable.
