That's your insight? Are you brand new to watching these types of matches? The U.S. typically gets smoked in the team events!

Nope.  Been watching them for a long time.  We kill it, especially in foursomes.

Pretty even in four ball and just a bit better in singles play.  Pull out this year from these results and it’s even more so...

Check the facts before throwing rocks.  Just sayin’...   ;-)

Summary[edit]

There have been a total of 422 individual matches played in the 13 Presidents Cups. Of these the United States has won 204, the International team has won 162 with 56 matches halved. Thus the United States have scored a total of 232 points to the International team's 190.

Team Overall Singles Foursomes Fourballs
United States won 204 72 73 59
International won 162 61 39 62
Halved 56 23 21 12
United States points 232 83½ 83½ 65
International points 190 72½ 49½ 68
Total 422 156 133 133

Uhhhhhhh, OK! But since we were talking about TEAM competitions, why are you quoting stats about INDIVIDUAL,  or SINGLES matches in your post?

Huh?

First of all, singles is a component of the Ryder and Presidents Cups.

Second, you said the U.S. usually gets "smoked in team events," yet in the Presidents Cup, they're 73-39-21, winning 83.5 of 133 points (63% of the points). That's not getting smoked in a team event.
