I think you’re referring to the Legend of Bagger Vance’ scene where Bagger explains to Juna how Bobby Jones gets in his zone. Then Juna proceeds to do so as well. 
 

No, I am pretty sure I saw it in that movie.  Maybe it wasn't the Vardon characto. Maybe it was the Quimet charactor. 

I don't remember ever watching the Bagger Vance movie.

Here’s a still shot of that scene. You should watch ‘ Legend of Bagger Vance.’ Will Smith plays Bagger and Matt Damon is Juna, the washed up golfer who’s gonna give it another go.
