I played with a plus two last year, and it was a great learning experience. He could legitimately hit it 300 yards, but I was more impressed with his short game more than anything. It seemed like he would make or have a tap in from anywhere on the green. How about you guys?

I played with the pro from whom I take lessons for 9 holes back in December. He shot two under, but spent most of the time watching my game so we'd know what to focus future lessons on.

He's probably in the range [+0, +5). I'm pretty sure he shoots in the 60s on full courses.

My friend may be on the Nationwide Tour eventually. He has the course record 60 at the local course. He is a +4 . He shot 72 from the back tees at Oakmont twice...Hes going to q-school in the fall.

Play with an older gentlemen (55 years old) who was a former mini tour player back in the day, respectable off the tee (around 240 to 255) but his short game from 100 in is demoralizing (sp?) for me, might as well throw it underhand to the pin. Very good putter also, plays to a 2 hcap now.

When I worked at a country club, I had a friend that I would bring out that was on the Tommy Armour Tour (Florida mini-tour). He went on to play Nationwide and a few PGA Tour events.

Let's see my Uncle and my former golf coach Beaver.

Both hold course records. Beaver happens to hold a few.

But I enjoy playing with my Grandpa. He is a teaching professional. He doesn't hit the ball too far anymore (220-235) but he is the best putter I have ever seen. I should take some lessons.

A teaching pro from California named Doug Zamboni. I think he was a +2 at the time. His ball striking was just ridiculous. 170 yard 8 irons... crazy.

Last summer I played with a +3. His game was just ridiculous. Par 5s on in 2, work the ball at will and an excellent putter. I could have made a sandwich by the time his ball came down. Just great height.

I recently teamed with Tiger to beat Vijay and Retiff 7 and 6. Oh wait, that was on a video game.

I have a client that is a 4. Other than that, it would likely be my father-in-law. Before his neck and back problems he would always give par a good run but was likely about a 6. He never had a true handicap.

Best two players I've ever played with didn't have handicaps. They were PGA Tour pros. I voted 0-+4.99, because I'm not sure if Tour pros not named Woods are above a plus 5. I'm not sure.

Anyway, I saw the difference between a low handicapper, a scratch player and a tour pro during those rounds. And it was a fun day- they were ex-college teammates of my buddy, who invited me to play. They weren't really grinding.

Hey i saw him on the range at Oakmont--hes one of the best drivers ive ever seen--he hits everything soo high in the air --but how straight he was hitting it compared to the other guys at the range surprised me. The sound his driver made was louder than anyone elses' except for maybe John Rollins--Im surprised bjorn hasnt got that major yet-because hes got all kinds of talent

4 or 5 years ago he was awesome and in the top 10 in the world easy on his day. Dubai anyone? However he has lost it too much in the mind, too many final day collapses.

There are plenty of golfers holding +5 handicaps or better (probably about 10 - 12 maybe)
