UPDATE: It appears that other members of the golf community are concerned about Tiger's well-being. It looks like some strings were pulled to get him a new job.

His eyes have lost their glimmer. This poor man looks like he is dying inside.

UPDATE:

Thats great! I am glad to hear that he has another job! I am surprised though that Buick would still have anything to do with him....

All I know is he finished 5th amongst the best in the world while playing very poorly and everyone's talking about "Has he lost it?"

I can hook him with a job reclaiming screens in our print shop, and we can reminisce about the good 'ole days and play some 5 dollar nassaus after work, heck I might even give the poor fella a few shots....

Lemay427 and jeepthrills, I can't believe you took a little fun thread and dragged his wife into it the way you did. Fun or not that's just wrong.

LOL, why is it that golf seems to just suck the sense of humor out of some people? Lighten up Francis!

BTW- I didn't know Elin was a twin. They're unbelievably pretty!

all joking aside, tiger does have some serious swing flaws such as dipping his head and i think these habits have finally caught up with him and as seen in these higher golf scores.

i doubt that. his putting was not up to his standards. 28 putts i think was his week average.

Theres no such thing as a swing flaw if you've made the PGA Tour--none the less Tiger Woods-the best golfer ever. See-the "perfect swing" like Jim Mclean and david leadbetter teach--is duplicated and widely accepted as the standard for what the golf swing should be...As long as you square the face and shoot low scores--theres no such thing as a swing flaw

personally, i wouldn't let leadbetter pee on me if i was fire. mclean is a little better but still, these guys basic approach is to perfect imperfection. they teach high maintenance imperfect swings that require hours of input to stay on track with the timing of keeping the clubhead square after so much closing or opening.

my personal belief is that pga golf instructors teach these imperfect swings so golfers play badly and are always in need to come to them for instruction much like doctors get paid when people are sick. i feel golf instructors should get paid when people's scores improve the "widely accepted as the standard for what the golf swing should be" is the problem

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
