Great band!

I was lucky enough to see them once at Radio City back in 2001 or something. Good times. Odd concert. Everyone sat the whole time and it was very low key, very unconcertlike. Interesting fan base. I think I enjoyed it more because of that.

Dire Straits -- Tunnel of Love

Love this song.

The preacher asked her
And she said I do
The preacher asked me
And she said yes he does too
And the preacher said
I pronounce you 99 to life
Son she's no lady she's your wife

I remember liking this song, forgot the lyrics, forgot the band, remembered the beginning piano part and the lead solo's voice.

Found it, although trying to play the piano introduction to SoundHound didn't help, but I just off by a semitone and my piano is a little flat, needs to be tuned, based on the memory of a song I've heard a handful of times in the past 10 years. I complained about absolute pitch being overrated in another thread, but hypocrite I am, I kind of have it in spurts.

Third Eye Blind -- How's It Gonna Be

I just finished rewatching Breaking Bad the other day. I'm not a 3EB fan, but I'm still a little disappointed they never used "Semi-Charmed Life." Probably the most-played song about meth ever.

Hehe, yea. I guess there was never a good place to fit that song in. Would've been awkward to see Walt run over those two hoods while that song blasted over the scene hehehe.

I guess the best we'll get right now is this clown in a hazmat suit doing karaoke to it at some dive bar LOL:

    • the rules have changed, but this would fall under 11.2 in the current rules.  General Penalty to any player who deliberately deflects a ball in motion, and you must replay the putt.
    • Day 250 4-29 Getting chest through with speed on downswing and wrist arch. Also worked on some moving the pelvis slightly away in the backswing. Feel like im going too fast and long, looks like it on the recordings too.
    • Interesting that it's no penalty, but then again, I can't imagine someone would purposefully put their foot out there in this situation or one like it.  And then there was the time someone purposefully deflected his own ball during a major, but that's very different too. The only time I can recall a ball I hit hitting another player or their equipment was ages ago -- over a decade and a half ago.  I had a 3' putt for an 89 and someone (a random pairing, not someone I knew) decided it was a good time for goaltending practice.  That wouldn't fall under this rule, though (and it wasn't in a tournament anyway). Thanks for continuing to share these, Dave!  I always find these interesting.
    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
