Kettle chips anyone? Never was a fan of regular potato chips, until I tried these. Can't get enough!!

Indeed! Their sharp cheddar chips for some reason brought me back to those TGI Fridays potato skins chips.. similar texture and taste.

Scotch! Oh, OK, the thread says temporarily addicted. So I guess scratch that.

Lagavulin FTW anyway.

Bourbon, like a Maker's Mark on the rocks with a maraschino cherry. Still like a nice nice scotch but I've been digging the bourbon lately.

Here's my temporary addiction. Publix sells this bag of assorted vegetables, and it has like, broccoli stems, green beans, onions, and mushrooms. Anyway, you take them, and put them on the grill or burner, heat some olive oil, and cook the veggies in the oil, and season liberally with Mrs. Dash or other seasoning. Keep them cooking until they're just bordering on burnt, as you want them to have most of the moisture cooked out. You want the water in the veggies to be replaced with oil and seasoning. Enjoy.

Me too. Simcity was the first computer game I ever bought. I then got SimCity 2000, 3000, and now 4, and even societies. They are all great games, and I'll continue to buy them. I wonder when they're going to release a 5th version?

For the sake of my sanity, hopefully never. For the sake of playing awesomeness, tomorrow.

I have Societies too, and it's alright, just very different. It still prefer 4, though I did have 2000 when I was a kid for the Mac. I also have it on my iPod Touch.

Again sorry to break from the food theme, but I just found out that Banjo-Kazooie was released on Xbox Live Arcade. That (and the sequel) was my favorite game as a kid. I downloaded it today and needless to say, I'm hooked.

If it must be a food...ehhh, I've been eating a lot of Campbell's Chunky chicken corn chowder. It looks like a yellow dumpster, but it's only 200 calories a can and tastes pretty good. And filling.

Turkey Burgers.

Anyone have a recipe to share? I've been going with extra lean ground turkey with pepper, and serrano peppers. Simple. Maybe to simple. I feel like they're missing something.

That seems like a pretty good recipe. From what I have gathered, the most common problem people run into with turkey burgers is dryness, especially with the extra lean that you use, because you don't really want to undercook poultry. A good way to combat this is mixing some minced onions in with the ground turkey. Onions let off some water and add some flavor too. Also, love the Serrano pepper idea. Great for flavor, since extra lean ground turkey doesn't have all that much.

    • Consider it another way: normally, it's a two-stroke penalty to move your ball out of a bunker (unplayable). The ACC reduces it to just one.
    • No, hitting into a hazard that is supposed to be avoided and is designed to be penalizing is not the same as hitting it into the middle of the fairway.   You are penalized because you hit it into a hazard. Based on your logic let's say you hit it into a red staked penalty area and you could normally play it but it's in temporary casual water from rain. Would you expect a free drop from there too??
    • They could have declared it GUR, sure. It is. It's temporary water, and as I said before, an abnormal course condition (ACC). That's what rule 16 is about — ACCs. No, a bunker ≠ the middle of the fairway. You are penalized because you hit it into a bunker. As for the rest… let's stick to the topic. Yep.
    • It's not dumb. It's dumb to randomly allow a free drop that provides an advantage you don't deserve. And your committee had the option of determining it GUR. Did you talk to them?
    • A sand trap is not supposed to have 3 inches of water in it. To me that’s temporary, casual water. Just like if your ball lands in a deep rain puddle in the middle of the fairway. I would have gladly hit out of any spot in that bunker. I understand that it’s a different rule. I just think it’s a dumb rule. You are penalized because it rained.  Here’s what I think is the dumbest rule in golf, and all sports for that matter - professionals playing for millions of dollars in a tournament have to carry around a little pencil and scorecard to keep their score and sign it, when there are big scoreboards all over the course and on tv. Can you imagine the Knicks losing because they didn’t count their score correctly? Like I said, I love the game, but it’s time to move into the 21st century already.
