This may have something to do with giving an equal amount of gloves to charity.

I don't know about that. I think the following from their website is misleading.

We'll match every purchase with a free golf glove through our partnership with the First Tee Program.

What is "every purchase"? Do they give a single glove to First Tee when someone purchases a year long subscription of 12 or 24 gloves?

They do not say "For every glove sold we give a glove to First Tee".

I don't think they have rolled out their subscription plan yet. From the kickstarter they are offering to give 3 if you buy 3.

The subscription may be a whole different plan and a different cost structure.

I think their charity hook is a way to attempt to get customers. I wish them well, but don't like the approach.

I'd be starting with great gloves at a great price and run a First Tee promotion when they're up and running. Keep it simple.

OK, reporting back on a couple of things.  First, I have a couple of new Titleist gloves, and those seams around the thumb are similar to what @Zippo showed, what I might call a "butt seam", after the welding term.  The Red Rooster uses a "overlap" seam, as does a Snell glove I have.  I honestly don't know if one is better than the other.

At this stage I have 5 rounds with the RR glove, and its still in good shape.  Nothing better than normal, but definitely not substandard either.

The kickstarter campaign is in progress, and the prices for gloves at this stage don't seem unusually low, around $20 per, less if you get more.  That includes a contribution of the same number of gloves to a couple of First Tee programs.  They indicated in an email that there would be a subscription option, which responds a little to some concerns voiced in this thread, but no details are available yet.

That's it.  This is a pretty good quality glove, at a reasonable (but not low) price.

Thanks for the update! I'm sure you know that my comments about the seam were not in any way meant to be derogatory. Just something I noted. I appreciate you taking the time to post and follow up!

No offense taken, you noticed something that I hadn't.  I have no stake in this, I just got a free glove to try, and I thought I'd share my impressions here.  I can't say this is something I'll follow through with, but I'll probably leave my name on their mailing list to see what happens once they go into "normal" business.  If seems that they've exceeded their Kickstarter goal, so I believe they'll be moving forward, but time will tell.

I wear a ML, cadet usually.  They don't offer the Cadet sizing, but this ML fit just fine

I think they're great gloves. Fit like a dream.
