I'm in the military and stationed in Missouri. I was a 10 handicap before joining the military and just picked it back up last year and can't get enough of it. I hope to get a lot of insight and advice from everyone on here. Look forward to hearing from everyone.

Well how sad - I was training to be a professional golfer, but that was 18 years ago. Now I'm a writer - my 2nd passion. At 40, I still have dreams of being on a senior LPGA tour one day LOL!

I teach severely emotionally and behaviorally disabled 3rd - 6th graders at an alternative school placement in North Carolina. If you like to flip over desks, try to fight everyone including teachers and other staff members, cuss alot, and are used to bullying everyone you know, there is a good chance that I'll be your teacher.

I am the first adult person some of these kids have ever met that will tell them no and then proceed to back it up. There's never a dull moment. Recently, one of my kids thought he was going to punk me down and that I was going to get scared when he told me that he was going to "kick my motherf'ng ass". I told him to get to kicking it then and he started stamping his feet like a little 3 year old.

I play golf to relieve stress.

Hi there, I am a design engineer. I usually don't have enough time to play on the net because of tight deadlines and constant support for manufacturing and suppliers. I do like to surf during lunch though.

High School golf coach here . . . . but trying something new. I developed an app outlining the fitness program that I have my students do to strengthen their golf swing. It's called "Golf Fitness" and is written for the iPad/iPhone and is available at the Apple App store for 2.99. (Shameful plug.)

    • the rules have changed, but this would fall under 11.2 in the current rules.  General Penalty to any player who deliberately deflects a ball in motion, and you must replay the putt.
    • Day 250 4-29 Getting chest through with speed on downswing and wrist arch. Also worked on some moving the pelvis slightly away in the backswing. Feel like im going too fast and long, looks like it on the recordings too.
    • Interesting that it's no penalty, but then again, I can't imagine someone would purposefully put their foot out there in this situation or one like it.  And then there was the time someone purposefully deflected his own ball during a major, but that's very different too. The only time I can recall a ball I hit hitting another player or their equipment was ages ago -- over a decade and a half ago.  I had a 3' putt for an 89 and someone (a random pairing, not someone I knew) decided it was a good time for goaltending practice.  That wouldn't fall under this rule, though (and it wasn't in a tournament anyway). Thanks for continuing to share these, Dave!  I always find these interesting.
    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
