Hey guys,

I'm thinking of removing 1" from my Scotty Cameron Fastback 1.5. It's a touch long at 35" stock for my stance and style.

The head will need heaver weights in the head (two 10g are on heel and toe).

Just wondering if Titlelist do these kinds of putter modifications?

Cheers

Yes, for a decent price. Or you can do it locally. It's not like cutting 1" off is all that difficult. The weights can be ordered.

Guessing the cost will be around $80-$100 for the length adjustment, weight change and new grip. Also probably will take 4 weeks (guessing).

I would for sure do it yourself or find a local shop to do it.

If you get a decent tubing cutter, it’s easy to do and much cleaner than a hacksaw. I had Scotty Cameron reshaft my putter years ago and adjust the loft and lie to my specs. They did a nice job.

Have an old SC that's apparently been cut off, shaft band says 34" but measures 33"and it feels pretty good.

Would it be easier to look around for a shorter shaft that can just be popped in? That way, you have the original shaft AND a replacement in case you might want to sell it on in the future. IF it costs $100 to go through all the cutting and re-gripping, weights, etc...  It may be worth just re-shafting in the correct length with another 'original' shaft. Just a thought.

I have a Squareback #1 that I had locally cut from 35" to 33.5". I popped in some 20g weights and a Golf Pride grip and never looked back.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
