NEW PURE Combo

The NEW PURE Combo reduced taper golf grip is a hybrid golf grip giving better control of your golf swing with comfort & stability for your lower hand.

So, I've had the PURE Combo for awhile now, and I've come to find that… I prefer either the full DTX or the full Pro. This blended version is a lot like the New Decade MultiComp, but… I have not loved those for awhile.

I didn’t like them. I prefer building up the DTX with tape to get the profile I want.

Good to see this, I am actually thinking of getting some new grips on the irons I just got. I think I'll try these out based on the FOR-EV-ER review. I have reduced taper grips that came  on the irons but I think I'll go with the mid-size.

My practice set of irons are some Nike VR Pro II irons that have grips that are at least six years old, maybe older. They're still in GREAT shape, and I hit a lot of balls with the 6I and 7I.

I didn't care for the combos either - the thicker rubber makes installing/removing a little more difficult and I had some grips balloon and deform, and I didn't like the feel as much as MCC +4 reduced taper grips I have used before.

On my irons and wedges, I have the Pure Pro neons with 3 layers of masking tape built up on the lower portion of the shaft where the grip sits.

I still have the combos on my driver, fairway wood, and hybrid.

I've gotten a lot of positive comments about the neon grips, and makes it harder to leave a club behind on the green when you have a highlighter pink or yellow colored grip.

      Very interesting stuff. My one thought that popped out at me is about Scottie Scheffler and the molded grip 7 iron. I would think the chance that it's one of the random ones you can buy from PGA Tour superstore or what have you is very unlikely. I would be astounded if that wasn't done custom for his exact grip, putting it rather out of reach of most of us. The thing about the foam rolling was very interesting. It's not something I've ever done before a lesson at the venue. If I'm feeling stiff or sore, I might do something with a foam roller at home, although even that is unlikely.

      Well, I am not surprised since the departure of Koepka and Reed.  Also Mickelson taking hiatus from golf hasn't helped any - albeit he is not much of a needle mover these days. Surprising is LIV hasn't offered any contract extension to Bryson as he seems to be the only marquee player they have at the moment.  Oh wait there is Dustin, Sergio, and ???  But these two guys haven't been doing much lately anyway.

      Day 7, April 15.   I was so excited about the pelvis turn drills that I didn't work on the hip rotation drill from my latest Skillest lesson (oops!).  I worked on that today, using a cereal box.  I also continued to do some pelvis turn drills, in part because I'm doing some of it with all practice balls hit, and I wanted to hit some balls this morning too.

      I was hoping to find an image of my Edel Putter in my swing thread here. I found the video of the 1st tee shot at Moon Valley from 2015.  Whooo man, that backswing, 🤣 Man, I had faster hips and more mobile hips back then. I could get the hips open prior to impact.
