Every season seems to have the person you "love to hate." Lori is certainly IT for this season. She has made it an art form. I can't believe she did what she did AND I can't believe the "judges" validated her whining. Tonight should have been an entirely different outcome.

That being said, I can hardly wait for next week.

Dave.

I would like to start the ABL Coalition (Anyone But Lori). To have the gall to pull the shit she is and then in the next breath criticize and judge other players says she a) full of herself b) a classless person and c) of very questionable character. She sees nothing wrong with what she is doing but everything in everyone else. As for Sophie, she saddled up pretty closely to Lori in ganging up on Lori, and then she got turned on too. Maybe she'll think twice next time.

I agree with Erik in that she nows passes Donatello as the most annoying competitor in BB history, and that the ruling against Christina was the wrong one. I had hoped some of the other players might step up in defense of Christina.

As for the preview of next week, it looks like Lori and Christina go head to head; I hope Lori gets what's due. Karma has a way of coming up and biting people like her in the ass, and with the size of hers, it's a pretty big target

Can someone take out the pig? Ya know, the one that is calling shots on the girl stomping down the divot laid over by the snow plow shot ahead of her?

Seriously, it's hard enough watching women's golf, but watching the biggies calling out the hotties is just too much!

Well I'm on board the kick Lori's butt off the show train. And what the hell was up with that ruling she wanted on Christine? She said she cant putt her foot down in front of the ball and disturb the turf, but the couple times I watched Christine I saw her push down the peice of turf before she put her ball on the ground, it was in her left hand the whole time? And it was a teeing ground wasnt it? Since they were able to pick where they put the ball down in the white squares. Or am I just way off? Cant believe Christine didnt fight for that one. And the call Lori wanted on Sophie? Geesh Sophie should of just slapped that bitch and then asked for a ruling on that!!

I wish the show was filmed live and in front of a studio audience. The Lori boo-birds would be out in full force, baby.

I too will miss Susan.

I'll also look forward to reading Lori's blog and Stina's posts today, if there are any. Lori should go into hiding if she knows what's best for her.

I don't know if this is the wrong thing to say... but I hope Lori looses all of her game and spends that 15 grand on booze and drugs... once again becoming a desperate addict living on the streets... either that or she gets hit by a bus, but then that might actually do more damage to the bus. My gosh what a flipping B*TCH!

When I think of Lori that most heinous of 4 letter words comes to mind... ryhmes with bunt.

Even Don Donatello was comical and not nearly as obnoxious as Lori.

I totally disagree with that decision too.

Also, Don was at least a decent guy and pretty funny.

I don't agree with the official's decision to cancel Christina's points. They're not playing golf, the area she was hitting from WAS kind of a teeing ground, and the order of play shouldn't determine who gets to hit from awesome lies and who has to deal with divots. Lame decision. I think Christina's shot should have counted.

Didn't get to watch the show in its entirety (fell asleep) but I did see this part and I also disagree with the decision too.

Why the other players didn't stand up and say something is beyond me! Or maybe they did and it got edited out?

Not sure what the correct ruling should be in that situation, but I can understand the girls at least bringing it up. I mean, they are playing for a LOT of money here. Not defending Lori in any way. I don't like her at all and would like her to have already been booted off the show a long time ago. But I don't think what they had there could actually be called a teeing ground, or be treated as such in regards to the rules. Had it been a teeing ground, they would have been allowed to use a tee. The intent of the challenge was obviously to re-create an approach shot situation, and I'm sure that's what the official was thinking of when he made his ruling. That said, I think consideration should have been taken to the fact that it wasn't simply an approach shot situation, and that Christina was having to deal with divots left by other players. I have noticed those kinds of things before in past episodes of the show and have always looked at it as a major flaw in the show. Perhaps they should look into that and develop some "local" rules for those types of situations when they happen on the show.

As for what Lori did to Sophie, that was just dirty pool as one of the hosts stated. She knew that at the very least she was going to upset Sophie's thought process, and at best she would get the same thing done to Sophie that she had just done to Christina. Let your game do the talking, Lori, and not your big mouth.

Man, I hope Christina puts a whippin' on Lori next week. The bad thing about it is Lori is pretty damn solid and will be tough to beat. I hate that. However, it only takes one bad week to get booted, and maybe next week will be her bad week.

I'm not so sure. Something about this episode told me that Lori is not quite as solid as she seems to be on the surface. I think once someone puts a little pressure on her, she will fold. Hopefully it will be Christina next week, but if not her, I think Sophie is up to the task.

WOW I agree all the sentiments about Lori here. She defines the word B*TCH! I cant believe that Christina was able to keep it together enough to not be eliminated. It is hard enough to deal with the pressure from the show let alone having everyone watch you like a hawk.

I think Christina made one comment "Choke" and it was because of her competitive nature. I dont think it was intended to be malicious and now she is labeled as this horrible person. I think she has alot of class and is a good sport. Lori picked her out because she is afraid of Christina beating her.
I hope Lori gets the Karma that is coming to her in the next show!!!

    • Eh... what's he going to say? "Hey, I bought a new driver. It's 10 yards shorter and I hit twice as many OB now." Does he have any data to back up his claim? Or is he just going by what he saw at his fitting?  I've been using either Shotscope or Arccos since 2018 and if there's one thing I've learned is that it's the archer not the arrow. When I'm hitting the driver well, it goes far and straight. When I'm a mess, it's a mess.  If you were properly fit for a driver in the last (dare I say 10 years) 5 years for sure. I'd be surprised if you can get more than a couple of yards out of it by getting a new one. The COR rule has been 0.83 since 1998, with widespread and standardized enforcement since 2003. Obviously, the engineers can still optimize spin and launch and shaft flex and/or kick point. So there are things that can be done. But I believe the days of 10 or 15 yard gains are over... unless your current driver is unfit for you. (as @Typhoon92 mentions above.) If you were fit for your epic. You will likely see very little on course performance difference.  Having said that, I get a new driver every 2 or 3 years... Why? Because I like shiny things. So, if you want a new driver, get a new driver.
    • My suggestion to you is to take your driver with you and go to a golf store where you can hit the new Ping 440 AND your own driver side by side.  They you can decide.  Very simple test you can do for free. You have no idea ( and your friend probably doesn’t either) how old his old driver was, what loft it was compared to the new one, what shaft and flex he had in his old driver vs. the new one.
    • I might be inclined to try to figure out what is bothering them. Is it that their index is 12 but they're only getting 10 strokes? If that's the case then I think I would just point out that their handicap is being adjusted for the difference between par and the course rating. It's adjusting for this course being easier than typical for the par. Course rating being roughly what a scratch should shoot on a good day and par being the sum of the numbers on the card. The whole concoction (which Erik and Dave explained already) is simply a way to get everyone to play on an even playing field. So if everyone plays to their handicap, then they'll all have the same net score. The adjustments are there mainly for those instances where something more complicated is happening like playing different sets of tees, but still apply otherwise. It's also easiest to say "your handicap index is 12.4, which means you should shoot 10 over par to play to your handicap" rather than "your handicap index is 12.4, which means you should shoot 12.4 over the course rating after adjusting for the slope", which is a whole lot of gobbledygook to people who don't know how the system works.
