like I don't like to think I'm an amazing player as I play off around 7-8 handicap or anything but The one miss I have at the minute is with my strike and its getting really frustrating because I don't see what's causing it please don't say basic stuff like I don't weight shift etc because it wont help

here are some videos form certain angles (these aren't that fat in the video maybe slightly chunked but its more the fact that the chunk happens 1 in every 4 iron shots so I'm never consistent)

So you want us to help you for free but you're telling us what we can/can't say?

Probably not the best way to go about seeking advice, IMO.

It'd be one thing if you said something like "I've tried this, this, and this and haven't had much success with those so looking for alternatives". But instead you told us to "don't say basic stuff". You realize that a lot of what PGA Tour players work on on a daily basis is the "basic" stuff, right? They're always working on grip, alignment, posture, etc which are pretty basic things.

I think you're doing yourself a disservice by being close minded and not wanting to hear anything that's "basic"

You literally tip your URC backwards away from the target in your downswing.

You might feel pressure on your left side because you’re posting up against it, but you’re doing it without the down and forward part of the early downswing.

Have you measured this with force plates or anything similar? Or are you just assuming that?

but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it

dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side

Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP.

This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.

With driver it’s ok to be behind the ball because it’s teed up.

Probably worse with longer clubs, too.

But there's more to weight shift than just where you finish. How your weight transfers throughout the swing matters too.

But you're saying you can see it better than a device that can measure it? Got it.

Yeah I'm good here, good luck to whoever tries to coach you.

There you go, @yungbuck6. Your hips aren’t really shifted forward and your head tips back. The camera angle isn’t good so what looks like hip slide could actually just be extension towards the ball.

PGA Tour players weight shift to their lead foot way sooner and to a higher % than amateur. I would say it is something like close to 90% lead foot at impact for PGA Tour player. For Amateurs it could be under 50%. You need to get the weight transfer over more and sooner. You can't rely on the feeling of finishing on the lead foot as validation you did so.

Ok, great. Best of luck to you in the future.

I gave you the answer for significantly less than $20k though, just sayin.

    • Day 310 - Working on my follow-through. Higher chest, belt towards the target. Small swings at first, building to a fuller swing (still not thrilled with my short backswing).
    • Day 201 (19 Nov 24) - Walked the back nine at Minnesott today, played the “white” tees with the persimmon woods and bladed irons.  It’s a challenge I really like as the clubs are shorter in overall distances.  It really forces me focus on the value of the approach game.     Somehow yesterday’s post did not load / so it’s above.  Today (Day 202) I did some backyard short yardage work - 7i dink  and rolls, 9i chips and 50deg pitches - working to get it in before the rain started around noon.
