what clubs do you like using 10 to 20 yards from?

Depends on a lot of factors, but often… my 60 fits the needs.

Depends on a few things but typically a 60* or 54*.    Currently, pitching is the worst part of my game right now....more so the longer pitch shots.   Its either shank city or I get it on the green but nowhere close to the hole.    Now that courses and ranges are finally starting to open, I will be hoping to revamp that part of my game.   Will start with the vids that Iacas posted above.

My rule of thumb for anything inside a 100 yards is my PW.  Of course, my SW and LW come into the picture when I need to loft it more and especially when I have little green to work with.

More often than not its my 58 degree wedge. But I might use the sand wedge or the p-wedge depending upon what's between me and the flagstick.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Depends in part on what lie the greens crew left me.

If it's first cut of rough or fairway and clear shot to cup, it's an 8i chip and run.

If it's shaggy, or I have to go over ridge or bunker, it's a cut shot with a 58* LW.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Depends on my lie and the green I am working with.
If I want to fly and stop, my 58*
If I am looking for it to run a bit, my 54*
And on occasion if the lie and green call for it, punch and run with my 7i

Depends on the lie, pin location, green.

I would say most of my pitches are with my 60-degree.

Its probably like 90% 60-degree, 10% 56 degree.

I have an old Tiger Shark Triple Crown II wedge that I carry to save space in my bag. It has a rounded shape and punch dots instead of grooves. The face has 3 angled lines that allow you to aim the club at 52, 56 or 60 degrees of loft. Works pretty well if you don't mind the gimmick.

95% of time I'm using my 56 degree sand wedge for any chip, pitch or full shot inside 85 yards.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
