Actually, I had the pleasure of playing there in 2007 the day before Tiger played it for his first time. It was a member guest day and I got to meet Mr. Ford which was pretty cool. He told me that they keep the course this tough year round for the members. The greens were stimped to 13.5 for us that day and the rough was so thick and juicy that you would have a wet green slime on the face after hitting out of it. I was a 4.2 hcp back then and I shot an 88 and was thrilled to do so. I remember lipping out a 3 foot putt and it rolled 8 feet away! I beat everyone in our hosts group that day including the host except for one guy...he picked up every putt inside 4 feet though saying it was good...that was upsetting. The course was brutal but very fair. The long holes played down hill and the short holes played up hill. One of the best experiences of my golfing life!
