Taylor Made TP series golf balls. I try to convert everyone I know for the distance and soft feel. I get most of my playing partners attention when I out drive them like never before!

+1 tommy armour irons! I remember in the early 90s TONS of people played them.

On a different note, overrated??? PRO V1, BIGTIME. :)

I AGREE 100%! I got a box of reds last year when my gf's parents bought me my 3 wood...and they're really unbelievable balls...soft..but you still get distance...and they've got great feel...AND they don't get scuffed easily....

and for me, the most underrated clubs: Cleveland & Tour Edge. Here are the most used clubs I've seen Driver: superquad or the sumo irons: x-20's, r7 or nike blades (when these guys couldn't hit their ball.. playing blades...but we know why they're playing them) wedges: vokey's & cg's putters: white hot 2 ball and is it me or does everyone have an ogio bag? they're awesome bags though! and why..why does everyone play a prov1x.... even if they slice their ball into the trees, out of bounds, and don't have the distance/swing speed to really hit it.. i thought you're supposed to use a softer ball so you can control it around the green...but don't you need a certain swing/swing speed to make the ball spin?

Add another for tommy armour. I love my 845's and dont plan on selling them anytime soon. I have also used one of their drivers and it is the most consistant off the tee for me. Also,Wilson isnt as highly regarded as other companies but they make great equipment. I still use a harmonized sand wedge and I love it.

    • Day 167 - 2025-03-16 Hit balls after a long day. Junior Elite and a few lessons. Meh.
    • It kinda is… and Tiger isn't super young anymore. You're missing the fact that Tiger changed the game. Golfers put far more strain and stress on their bodies now than they did fifty freaking years ago. The sport is different now. It's faster, and you have to be significantly better now to even make it to the PGA Tour let alone stay there than you did in Jack's day.
    • Well, at least it got fixed & you’ll be back nonetheless.
    • Day 5 March 16th, 2025 Went to the range for about an hour. Worked on backswing and downswing piece. Finally got to making shorter backswings. Feeling like the swing stops when hips get to hip height. That is more of a feeling for how much the hands move, the hands get closer to A3-A3.5.
    • Seems like Jack was pretty "old" when he won his last Masters. And Gary Player is still playing, despite being a fitness freak all his life. Years ago, Cary Middlecoff stated that Tiger was going to have back problems after he reached the age of 30, due to the body torque he used in his swing. But Tiger has also had plenty of issues with the rest of his body. And the car crash certainly didn't help. Has any golfer been as "injury prone" as Tiger?
