i've taken my girlfriend of 5 years to the range with me every time. Her swings there indicate that she would be better suited as a cart driver but shes a great golfing partner!

oh yeah, i took my girlfriend out golfing on our first date. it was a blast, and it was fun teaching her. you know, the typical "wrap your arms around her and swing it for her" drill.

Taken a girl to go out golfing? And it's like one of the hot girls that is going to be terrible, but looks drop dead sexy trying.

There are some girls that look great and can play well. I see them all the time in So Cal!

I took a girl to the driving range once; a girl I hang out with who asked me to take her golfing at some point. By the end of the bucket, she was able to hit the wedge to the 50-yard marker consistently (how many of us wish we could do that?). She was also very excited about the quantity of pink golf apparel available. Don't be one of the guys who treats the girl like his kid and yells about keeping head down and left arm straight and so on. Let her have fun with it and tell her you can answer questions, but won't force a lesson unless she wants it. And if she persists and wants to take up golf, you probably shouldn't be her teacher unless you improve notably. Likewise, I won't teach any of my friends (male or female) golf beyond simple grip and "don't scoop."

Actually had a girl use golf to hook up with me, we worked together and she played a little and suggested we get out some time. So we went out and she was not very good but she sure looked cute trying. She got a big kick out of asking me if she could wash my balls every other hole

There was a girl who worked full-time at a company I was interning at two summers ago. She was a few years older than I am (probably still is), and she played - I don't know how often or avidly. But she took two guys to play at a local executive course (which has since become my primary practice center), but at that time I missed the ball so frequently I would've been embarrassed to join them even if I had been invited. She left the company mid-summer and I have no contact for her. Too bad.

Long story short, awesome and good going dude.

This is actually one of my goals for this season. Find a hot girl girl that i can go golfing with. It just seems like all the good looking girls around here laugh at me when i say im really into golf

My wife would actually finally learn how to play after 12 years of marriage.

Good move! This is my wife's 3rd full season and she's completely hooked, loves it and we have a great time playing together. The only negative side is that my wife measures her success against my game and I've been playing all my life! I think it's a woman's nature to believe they should be WAY better than the game allows, given their newness to the game. Just a tip: We started with a sand wedge and a putter. Once she truely felt the concept of 'hit down on ball, ball flies' she was completely hooked! Then we graduated to range balls. Best thing is that I don't have to beg to go on a golf vacation. Just schedule it and she's standing at the door with her clubs packed! dave

I love Hot Ladies on the course or on the range, I love having Eyegasms......... regardless of their play, I'm just thankful something good comes from my round or practice...

all just kidding.......

Gosh, I thought I was the only person who had that experience. First time I went to anything regarding golf with my fiancee, she was delighted at all the pink things she could find for golfing. I actually think that's the reason why she keeps playing, to have new pink apparel every year

Same here. I want to play more golf, and at the same time with my girlfriend. So I invested in my game by buying her a set of pink and purple Wilson Hope golf clubs, pink balls, pink tees, pink hat. If it had to do with golf, it was pink. She was absolutely ecstatic and couldn't wait to go play a round with me.

Took her out, and she wasn't actually half bad. Especially after I got her to think of the concept of hitting down on the ball, and hit the ball and the ground at the same time. It also helps me to see her in that tight pink shirt and those lilttle shortie shorts

I was at a BBQ on Sunday and my buddy set up a driving net, and of course everyone hit driver, then maybe the hybrid if it was there third trip to the net. Anyway....After all my fellow meatheads took turns pounding driver. Up steps a 5' 11" redhead with the most fluid swing I had seen all day. Never passed paralell in the back swing, perfect balance, and even posed a little bit on the follow through. She said she wasn't that good and usually shot around 85...Jaw hits the floor at this point...I think I am going ring shopping boyz....

I've been farting around with golf for years, but it seems that all of the tumblers clicked into place in the last couple of years allowing me more time to play and pursue it.

A few months ago, I picked up a set of US Kids Golf clubs for my daughter, who's been bugging me for some (she loves going to golf stores, to putt on the putting green) She also loves to hang out with her daddy and hit golf balls into the net.

Fast forward a few days, and I come home to find my wife, whacking wiffle balls in the back yard with my daughter's 9 iron (pretty funny to see). That Friday night, I take the girls out on a date, and we swing by the Golfsmith, where I pick up the parts to build up a 7 iron for my wife (a nice pink setup(the Viper W), and polished finish, she loves it) I built it up that night, and that was the start. After a few weeks of working on the basics at the house, I took the girls to the driving range. It went on from there. Now she's got all her irons, a good putter, a nice bag, some clothes, and is trying out different drivers and hybrids to complete her set.

Now I take them to the driving range and to play a short 9 holer near the house just about every week.

I won more than once on this one...

  • I get to play more golf
  • I get 'family time'
  • I don't get as much static about buying golf goodies
