I know there's many times for people showing up before a tee off, what i wanna know is it because you have certain routines or rictuals you preform before hand or do you just show up right on time and basically have to run to the tee box to be on time?

Do you like to practice before and/or after your round as well? Do you think it has a impact on your game play?

Well I work swing shift usually getting off work around 2am, and my tee times are usually between 8 - 10am so sometimes I'm just running to get there, but I TRY and prefer to get there about 30 minutes early.

I can grab a coffee, stretch a bit and hit a few chips to try and losen up and get everything in motion. Then I ALWAYS make sure I hit the putting green up at least for a few minutes to get a feel for the speed of the greens. In my area there is a VAST difference in speed between a few of the courses and when I dont get to at least test out the putting green before hand I really feel like I'm going into it blind and am a bit nervous on the first putts.

I would like to try and hit up a driving range though if I were REALLY serious because it ALWAYS seems like my first hole is one of my worst of almost every round.

I like to get to the course about an hour before tee time. A few putts, and a couple of pints sets me up for the round to come. Its not a ritual or anything ,I leave the beer alone if its an important match. I think the most important thing is to get yourself relaxed and in a positive frame of mind.
I hate having to rush to the first tee, thats a disarster waiting to happen.

If I have had a real bad round, I will try and sort it out before leaving the club. This entails a 3 hour discussion on the mechanics of the golf swing while throwing vast quantities of Ale down ones neck.

If Ive had a good round I will celebrate by telling (boring)everyone that cares to listen ,the beauty of the perfect golf swing. This of course takes place while throwing vast quantities of Ale down ones neck

Im get there about an hour before tee off. Get a large bucket, then hit short irons first working my way up to the driver. Then go to the putting green and practice short putts then long putts then back to short putts. Then relax for a few minutes and tee off! If I have the time after I will hit some balls on the range after but I usually don't

I like to check out the course a day or two in advance. I like to walk it without playing if there is time. I will plan each approach shot and where I want to place the ball in the fairways. I also like to make notes off all the trouble and best ways to avoind it. Finally I take detailed notes regarding the contours of each green and where to aim for possible pin locations. I also like to see if how firm the course looks and feels so I can bring the appropriate clubs with me. Only after this extensive preperation will I be able to adequately attempt to play a round of actual golf.

During the weekend I will show about 45 minutes early - enough time to BS with the staff, hit a small bucket and putt for 10 minutes.

During the week since we are all sneaking out of work we barely make it in time for our tee times.

45 minutes and I always hit the practice green hitting lag putts to set my rhythm and get a feel for the speed. Sometimes I'll hit a small bucket starting with the wedges to the driver then the last couple of balls I'll "play a hole" - Driver, fairway wood, iron, wedge.

I like to show up about an hour before a round, hit a warm up bucket (not a practice bucket, not hit some practice balls, but warm up), hit some 3-foot putts, some 5-footers, and hit a few putts to the edge so I can get a sense for speed (without witnessing the ball miss the hole). If I have any really bad shots during the round - too many putts, some bad chips, bad long shots - I'll practice after the round. Otherwise, practice can wait until the practice days between rounds.

I'll show up approximately 30 minutes to an hour earlier. If I feel I need to, I'll grab a small bucket and hit a few balls. However, I'll always stretch around 15 minutes before tee time...

It is always the case before a comp that I show up about 90 minutes before the round, sign in etc so I am out practicing about 75 minutes before the time. I hit 5 foot putts and make sure that i hole at least 15 in a row and then move onto placing balls at 4 foot intervals to a hole with 6 balls and hole out each time. This gets the pace of the green and allows your stroke to warm up, repeat 3 times and go and hit some chips. Then i practice most chips that i will use and about 40 minutes bfore the tee time i will go to the range and hit balls about 50 working my way up always finishing on a good one with each club. For me bunker shots are important as it allows me to see what my weight shift at that time. About 5 minutes before my round I go to the putting green place 4 balls at 5 ft intervals and hole out afterwhich i hole 3 3fters and go to the tee.

Ideally I like to get there in enough time to have a solid 30 minutes to warm up and I like to get full use of the practice area before going out(range, chipping green, putting green, and bunker).

I try to get there 45 - 1 hour. it takes about 10 to check in and drop your bag off. so you have 50 minutes. my stretch routine runs about 30 minutes. you should ideally stretch each muscle for 10 second intervals twice. and I have a BAD back and neck so i have to spend extra time stretching each muscle in those areas for 5 minutes in themselves. then light swinging... by the time I'm done, we're up on the tee, physically and mentally ready to go

it depends on what sort of round I'm playing. I always try to start on the green, I have two exercises I do for my short and long putt routines and the length of time varies to fit what I have available. For a tournament I will then go the practice green and chip and pitch for about 15 minutes. Lastly I'll hit some balls, pretty fixed routine start with 7-iron, then 4 hybrid, then driver then wedge. The key for me is then to wind down before I actually start. If I'm just playing a casual round I can squeeze this into 25 minutes.
