Took this idea out of the "What would you buy if you won the lottery?" thread. What golf EQUIPMENT would you buy if you had $2,000 to spend?

1.) MP-57
2.) Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Studio Select
3.) Nike Forged Blades (Love the looks of them and would like to see how I can play pure blades)

5.) THE HAMMER! BOOOOOMMMMM!

How 'bout you?

three high end wedges (scratch, miura, or vokey TVD) and new high end shafts for my woods (probably graphite design quattro)

I recently spent a little under $1000 on my irons, FLI-HI, and wedge.

I'm about to spend around $1000 on driver, fairway wood, and maybe a hybrid. Plus the visit to Max Out Golf to get the fitting right.

So, $2000 back in January, I'd get the clubs I have now plus the clubs I'm getting soon. $2000 now, the clubs I'm going to be getting soon and a nice set of Mizuno Sora... but those wouldn't be for me.

Took this idea out of the "What would you buy if you won the lottery?" thread. What golf EQUIPMENT would you buy if you had $2,000 to spend?

Well, if I thought there was a chance in the world it would lower my scores and index, I'd start throwing money at the problem. However, my experience has been that "you can't buy game."

My latest purchase was replacing my Cleveland Launcher 330 driver with a Callaway Big Bertha FT-3 Fusion driver (two years ago); some people claimed I would add 20 -30 yards to my tee ball, others said keep what you've got it you like it. I went though the whole launch monitor deal with a professional clubfitter using FT-3 drivers with different lofts, different shaft flexes, some "draw", some "neutral", some "fade" and whatever other options there were. I ended up buying exactly what the clubfitter recommended. Bottom line? I don't hit it any farther, any more consistently or any straighter than my Cleveland 330. And my scores haven't improved. Although I can't prove it, I think I hit the 330 better, more consistently and straighter. So, for now I'm putting the $2,000 into something other than golf clubs.

Roundtrip flight to Vegas- $350
Roundtrip taxi to Caesar's- $25

$1000 on black on the Roulette table
$625 to play Blackjack all out.

If I double up on Roulette, I'm getting 3 nights at Caesars and partying it up on the other $1000.
