On one of the previous episodes, the Ashley's passes Rob and Charlotte on the road, and Charlotte freaked put saying, "thats cheating! I hate those girls." I mean, come on, I don't think passing someone on the road is cheating, calm down.

I don't think she said "that's cheating," but if she did, she was right: it is cheating. You're only allowed to go the speed limit and I believe the Ashle* team was given a very strict warning. Contestants are required to obey all traffic laws, including the speed limit, and it's highly unlikely Charlotte and Rob were going slower than the speed limit on purpose.

Yeah, and I don't think she said she hated them either. She said "those girls bother me". Kind of different than hating.

And the way she said it was hysterical.

Somewhere, Ash(lees)' blog I think, the Ash(lees) wrote that they laughed really hard when the episode aired and they saw that. I seem to recall reading that they have become good friends with Charlotte since the show.
there is a show that I am more looking forward to. It was in a commercial last episode, The School of Golf. One reason I am looking forward to it is because I am 15, and also because I'm going to have my mom watch it, because I found this place on the internet, and I really want to go there, and hopefully after watching it my mom will let me go.

There is an extended promo For School of Golf on Golf Channel On-Demand and I watched it a few weeks ago. That show looks really good. I was bummed when I programmed my DVR yesterday though, and noticed that it is only a 30 minute show.

BTW, 907, here is the online version of the extended promo (the part about the Chinese girl gave me chills the first time I watched it): http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...0&select2;=9835

OK, then I did see the show after all.

I can't stand the way that Jay treats his father.

Peach hinted around about choosing to allow that behavior from his son on one of the recent episodes.

I was amazed at everybody's consistently good ball contact which is very uncharacteristic outside of tour level players.

I also like how the Ash(lees) refer to Andy and Parker as "the boys". Not sure why, but it's cute.

I was just wondering, how will they determine the final winner? In Big Break, they go from challenges and 1-3 holes, to a full 18.

So, how will they combine race with golf when it comes down to the final 2 teams? Other than doing exactly the same thing (combined par/best ball par/etc), I can't figure out what they would do.

They may just play around and team with lowest scores win. But thats just a long shot guess, I really have no idea, I guess its something to look forward to lol

Its not always how you drive the ball, but how it arrives.

My guess is it will be more like Amazing Race than Big Break. The final challenge will be more intricate and difficult than they have been so far, but it will essentially be the same. This series seems to be as much about racing as it is golf, and I wouldn't expect them to abandon that aspect in the finals.

I bet all of these players are better than 8, maybe 5 handicaps. I'm not surprised at fairly consistent ball striking at that level. Also, you have to factor in that we're probably not seeing every single shot they are playing. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not even eliminating replays on some holes, due to time constraints and of course to make things more dramatic.

This has probably been asked, but the thread is 20 pages long. Are they allowed to speed?

No, they're not. Ashle* team was warned already.

In the last couple of episodes, I've been surprised how good some of the players' swings are considering the "race" factor - running around and hitting things as fast as they can. One of the Ash(lees) comes to mind on the last show.

No, not in theory. There is some question about how strictly that is enforced.

Oh, and don't take this the wrong way - I'm just trying to be helpful (I totally understand not wanting to read through 20 pages for the answer to a simple question!), but there is a "search this thread" option at the top of each page of a thread. Most people never notice it, but I've found it very helpful at times since discovering it.

Yeah, I was thinking while watching this week that Raul's swing is probably the worst "looking" swing of the bunch. Of course we all know that the look of a swing is not always indicative of the result. Whatever their handicaps, I'd say they are all pretty close, with Jay, Charlotte and possibly "Buttercup" the best in the group.

I was kind of impressed with Peach's swing on one of the episodes too.

Buttercup?

Raul's swing makes me flinch every time I see it.
