I don't have one. I don't know any of the guys personally.

I like the red neck gang though.

JD, Boo, Holmes etc.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

There's so many golfers to like, especially the young crop of contenders. I even like all the Euros. But as someone who loves sport and competition and pure athleticism, Tiger is tops. I know that's an easy answer, but has there ever been anyone as fun to watch as that? He just delivers when you're not supposed to be able to time after time. You are not supposed to dominate golf like that. Every time we get to watch what he does its history being made. I don't know how it gets better.

Vijay. I would also like to see what a dedicated Greg Norman could do at 53/54. He is still in better shape than almost any Tour player.

The pride of Ireland, Padraig Harrington! He's so down to earth and a credit to his family and country!

If it's an all time list, no one beats the swashbuckling Seve Ballesteros in his prime. He's one of the reasons I got hooked on golf in the first place all those years ago!

My all-time favorite has to be Tom Watson. Of those currently playing I love to watch Phil Mickelson simply because it's always interesting. I also enjoy Fred Couple and Ernie Els because of those beautiful swings and easy going attitudes. Among the Euros I love to watch Luke Donald swing the club and see Darren Clarke being around anyone else (I would love to run into him in a pub in Ireland). Of the ladies, I would have to say Morgan Pressel is probably my favorite just because I think winning is more important to her than most others. I also like to watch the hot girls, but it doesn't seem like there are very many right now.

You have to appreciate someone who refers to himself as an Irish homosexual (he likes women but not beer).

CAMILO VILLEGAS! He has my favorite swing I have ever seen.. it is so simple but so smooth.

I also like Tiger, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Anthony Kim... and can't forget Natalie Gulbis or Perry Swenson from Road Trip Myrtle Beach!

P.S. This is my 1st post and I'm wondering how I do that "In the bag" thing under all of my posts, so if anyone could let me know I would appreciate it

Ian Poulter - Seems like a really cool, down to earth guy and I love how he has his own flare and style.

And he's not on the tour, but I really like Hank Haney. He just seems like such a great guy that loves doing what he does and that's teaching golf. Not to mention, he's a hell of a coach.

    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
