holy crap...

I didn't mention my staff bag upstairs, which has ten putters in it. I just went and counted and noticed that I had three wedges in there (two old, one 58 still in the plastic), so I added those to the basement storage area. I also have a Cameron California putter leaning against my desk (not enough room in the staff bag - headcovers are too big).

I'm impressed, what kind of hooks do you have the wedges and woods hanging from? Fan of OGIO huh? I've got 4 of their bags Myself.

Kind of a ghetto rigged solution, but hey, again, it works and the screw eyes are readily available. Oh, I didn't mention the old MacGregor Nicklaus VIP irons. They're hanging up too. You can see them just left of the putters (which are grip down). Just seven irons, though - my first set of irons ever and I never had a 6-iron. And yeah, I really like Ogio bags. Though the Clubglider blows everything away for travel. Update: let's move on folks. Post yours, no need to keep commenting on mine.

All I have to say is thank you! Just showed my wife the photo and told her that I would be printing it and posting it up on the fridge. This way everytime she thinks I have too much golf stuff in the basement she can see that it's really not that bad.

I am going to assume that you have collected some of that gear from testing / evaluating for the website, or is all that bought?

like seriously...do you really NEED all of those clubs/bags/putters/shoes etc...???

once I get a new wedge, irons or driver, the old one is SOLD......

Same here - my wife wonders why I have all those clubs/sets/bags in the garage (Got old clubs from the tme I started playing golf) Now I start making a habit of just keeping one set. Right now I have two but one of them is going to go. Cuz I need some new/nice Wedges. But I tell her sometime - its like you with shoes, you can never have too many shoes - just like I can never have too many golf toys. :)

Thought I would chime in here since I got a new bag and driver for Christmas. :) The rest of my clubs though? Eek.



Did a little comparison between my old driver and my new XLS... gosh, I'm so glad I at least have ONE club worth recognizing, haha.




Bought a 60* Cleveland a few years ago because I wanted another wedge... didn't really no any better though, should have bought a 56* but oh well, haha. I love it when I get to use it. ;) (...when I hit it the right way, haha)


Damn, you guys are probably really jealous of these bad boys. Titleist what??! :P

      I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
