Curious what swing trainers you guys and gals use, if any.

I'm looking at these. . .

http://g4swingtrainer.com/

It looks like it would help strengthen a couple of my weaknesses in my swing. Its not a bunch of stuff that I wouldn't use. Its pretty simple and relatively inexpensive.

I have a Power Hitter which is great for loosening up a bit before a round. But its not really a training tool. At least I don't think it is. If you can't release the club properly, swinging a club that's 4 times normal driver weight isn't going to help that.

Thanks for any ideas, links, and letting me know what it is you use.

Wow, getting no replies on 2 sites with this question. . .

It is wintertime. Can't play nearly as much, obviously. Doesn't anyone use a swing training system, or kit at all?

I still swing my 15 year old Medicus 5 iron once in a while. I have it on the lowest setting that will keep it together at a stand still. It really forces me to slow down my backswing and keep things fundamentally sound.

Ditto...I bought my dual hinge Medicus 5 iron a few years ago as my son was beginning to show some interest in playing tournament golf. The Medicus took him from a left to right (fade to big push/slice) to a solid and consistent right to left (soft to hard draw, occasional hook). Took him from the 90's to where he is now, a solid 5.5 handicap. We don't use it to often anymore, but occasionally swing it once a month or so. For the money great buy. Also, using a weighted club is a great tool as well. If you have some old clubs liening around, you can make your own. Simply fill the shaft with BB's. This gives you more than enough weight to allow you to feel the proper positions in a sound golf swing. We swing a weighted club everyday, part of a regimen I have him on.

I am a gear nut. I own the Medicus, Inside Approach, Kallassy Swing Magic, Speed Stik and the Momentus Iron.

I have seen the one you are considering on the Golf Channel. To be honest it looks kind of scary to me. I imagine that band coming free and whacking me in the side of the head. I'm sure that it is in fact safe but I don't think I'll go for that one just the same.

Nope... besides, I'm still playing golf. At least I was today... now it's almost midnight and there is 4 inches of snow on the ground.

It should melt off by the first part of the week though. But I still don't use any swing trainers.

Thanks for the post guys. . .I may pick up a medicus, either the 5i or a Driver. I'm still liking the looks of the this swing trainer. It def. looks like it would help me strengthen some weak areas in my swing.

I'm not too worried about taking a shot in the head from one of those rubber bands.

I use a Power Swing Fan and a weighted club to build swing speed and stay flexible. Put them in the room with my tv, and finding time to swing them is never a problem :)

The other swing trainer i've been using is P90X :) There are 2 workouts that are great for golf, Yoga and the Stretching.

I really like the swingspeed. (see www.swingspeed.com )
I really works the swing muscles and the core also. I have one and it put +10 mph on my swing speed in less than 2 weeks. I know where you can get a new one for half price. Send me a message and I'll point you in the right direction.

I don't like a bunch of gadgets but the Momentus is pretty good. My ball striking has improved greatly since using it.

i just recently got the power hitter driver and the lob wedge free with it. I really like the driver and it has helped me a lot in just a couple outings. The lob wedge.... really liked it the first time out.... since then, im not so sure... so I'll have to try that one out a little more I guess.

Anyone have any feedback on the Power Hitter iron?

Do these 'ball sweet spot finders' actually work, I mean really make noticeable difference??? You know the gyroscopic thingys-they are quite expensive for what appears a load of garbage-but then again, if it REALLY works. Be interested to hear from anyone who has used one...

A buddy sold me the Medicus non-460 driver . . . damn thing bashed me in the back of the head first time I swung it. I have been scared of it since.

I use a homemade dual trace swing trainer (similar to the Freddy Connect trainer). It's basically two LEDs mounted to the top of an old driver. It lets me see my clubhead path and if the face is open or closed. It helped me fix my slice, and then my pull hooks.
