Paula Creamer - a pretentious chubby little skanky brat that should be slinging pink hash at Denny’s.

She does come across as the annoying popular Cheerleader In Highschool. And the pink thing is painful.

While Paula is far from my least favorite golf personality, I agree with both of you. It's funny because I just got done in another thread questioning a poster who said that Paula has done more to promote the LPGA than Annika. Basically I think she's a self-serving brat, who tries to come across as a cutesy girl next door.

My Tools of Ignorance:

Driver: Ping I20 9.5*
Woods/Hybrids: Cobra AMP 3W and 3 HY

Irons: Cobra AMP 4-GW

Wedges: Callaway Forged Copper 56* and 60*

Putters: Scotty Cameron  35" (Several of the flow neck blade variety)

Man, you guys are tuff. I like Faldo. I hate Aquaman, Rory and Jonny Miller.

I don't hate them, but i would say dislike.

I really like Faldo, I like Phil, and I always root for JD. I really like TW also, not so much for his all time greatest game, but for the way he handles it in the microscope he is viewed under.

my least favorite guy (less because I dislike him and more because he's beyond robotic and seemingly lacking in personality) is Goosen.

I recall him playing with Trevino at one those Primetime TV show events (Battle at Bighorn or some such nonesense) and Lee was chatting him up on the fairways, just trying to cut up with him a little and have an actual conversation, and Goosen gave him nothing. I noticed Trevino stopped trying after a while. I mean, if Trevino can't loosen you up, there's no loosening to do.

Despite that aweful shot I just hit, I'm really quite bad at this.

My two are Sergia Garcia because of his constant whining and Rory Sabatini because he's such a jackass.

Tim Rosaforte. He has this "I know it all" attitude that drives me nuts and has a tendency to talk at people and not to them. He needs to realize that outside of golf he's a complete non-entity. Shrek Jr. needs a dose of humble pie.

I think you would have to agree though that Sergio has toned down the whining to a tolerable degree for the better part of this year.

Rory.... not so much.

Chris DeMarco.

I live about a hard four iron from him and he's pretty universally known around town as self-centered and arrogant. Given his placing on the money list the last 2 years, he might need to get over himself and start making some cuts!

HA! I laughed pretty hard at that one. Straight to the point response, love it. If I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I'll send you a PM to play golf sometime.

Only 2 that I can think of that I can actually state logical a reason for my not liking them.

Frank Lickliter for his actions in a match against Brad Faxon a few years back. Lickliter was complete ass on a couple of occasions during the match... mostly because he was getting beat and couldn't deal with it like a gentleman.

Aaron Baddely, for his temper tantrums a few years ago at The International, when he used his driver to tear gouges out of the 14th tee box after a poor tee shot, then a couple of holes later he snapped his 4 iron in half across his knee when his approach on 17 landed in a bunker. The latter incident happened right in front of me (I was a volunteer marshal for the last 4 years of the event). He doesn't seem quite so volatile lately, but I only see him when the cameras are rolling now.

During those 4 years that I volunteered I saw a lot of Phil Mickelson, and he was never anything but friendly and gentlemanly. I will never figure out why he is so disliked. The same for Davis Love... don't see how anyone could find anything objectionable about him, on or off course. Maybe not a dynamic personality, but we can't all be showmen.

You are right, and that's why I don't trust him. His image is too "goody two shoes" to be real. Then there's the rumors of his reckless gambling and bickering behind closed doors. That and the collar up (early on) and playing with a $20K watch seem obnoxious. Jealous of his lifestyle, etc. (a bit) but I have a nice watch in the bank, and wouldn't consider playing with it on.
Would he be pleasant and "fun" to play with in a pro-am, sure. But if a fight broke out at the 19th hole because I accidentaly stepped on someone's line, I think Phil would be the first to find the exit.

Then again, I see your point of view. It takes considerable character to behave gentlemanly on a consistent basis, especially while enduring all that pressure pros face.

Briny Baird, I met him at a Brett Favre charity golf tourney a few years back, arrogant hiney-hole doesnt even begin to describe this guy. I've heard that he is so bad that even his fellow players have nothing to do with him.

Always disliked Aquaman too, not sure why...

and Craig Stadler, probably because I have heard he is a real arrogant prick as well, someone once said he doesnt even want you breathing the same air as him...

on the flip side, the nicest golfer I have ever met is Brian Bateman, he will just walk up to you and start joking around, and lots of times people have to ask him who he is, he doesnt make a big deal out of it. real cool guy to meet. funny as heck, too...

Gary McCord gets my note for sure. The infomercial he has with Peter Kostis for the Golf Logix is really awful in my mind. Not to mention a junk product, so I guess ultimately it fits.

    • Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

    • Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
