just a little update from the OP here. I can't remember how much my last set up came to, but here's my current valuation: all in £, UK!!!

4 wood:50
hybrid:40
irons:300
51 wedge: 40
58 wedge: 20 - bargain!
putter: 30

so 680. all that money is paying off, along with some time away from the game recently - played 7 today and shot 1 over par with 2 birdies!

I have only owned two sets of clubs outright (when I was a youngster). Since then, I have played nothing but hand-me-downs and used equipment. That being said, here we go...

Golf Bag: I won in a tournament
Driver: my Dad won in a tournament, couldn't hit it, then gave it to me, I re-shafted it for $10 installed
3-wood: my Dad bought it, didn't like it, then gave it to me...sensing a pattern here?
Irons: my Dad upgraded and gave me his Nike Forged Pro Combos...I in turn, sold them for $275 then picked up the blades for $275
Wedges: Bday & Xmas gifts about 4 years ago
Putter: one of the 19 putters my Dad owns. We switch them in and out all the time depending on if they've been good or bad to us. LOL

I realize I am a very fortunate individual. My father eats, sleeps and breaths this game, as do I. I also think he might have an "issue" with buying golf equipment, but I'm not gonna start complaining now.

The Nike Driver I part exed on my Cleveland Driver, the G10 driver I got my money back for and I sold my G10 Irons for £250, the wedge I still have and the Cleveland Driver and Callaway BB 3 Wood I gave to my dad as spares.

A lot of money thrown around here. I'm pretty deep in my stuff most of it was bought on E bay NEW in Nike Plastics. I'm sorry but i just can't see me spending 900 dollars on irons that I know I can buy for 300 less somewhere else.....

I'd guess I'm 2500-3000 in but over 4500 in retail.

So, about $290 to take me from Tee to Green, all new. I think I made out pretty well.

Oh, and a great cart bag for $3 barely used at an auction.

Hell, I must have one of the cheapest sets I've seen in this forum!

I know yonex used to sell clubs (and badminton raquets) in Canada, but haven't seen one in years.

I actually just done official/proper converter to US Dolalrs and it comes out as about $420 each, so $840 in total for my 2. That said, it does retail for alot higher. But it is Gold's Factory, by far the best clubs in the World I think, most of Master sasaya's GF designs are only made in batches of 1 or 2 sets, as limtied editions as everything is hand made by him. Very niche, but honestly superb wedges, well worth the money I paid. There's only 3 sets of this particularly model I have in the World.
