IMO, blades identify swing faults and allow you to understand what you are doing and have a hope at correcting them. GI irons will throw just about anything in the air. So, IMO, it is harder to identify where your swing weaknesses lie. My swing has improved dramatically since getting them. However, over the last week, I started to cup my wrist (an old swing flaw I thought I had licked). Causing me to come over the top. My pro friend asked me in his unique way if I wanted to cup my wrist again. I flattened it out, now very good strikes. The blades punished me for the cupped wrist. No, all is good.

I just told myself that the day I break 80 is the day it becomes a priority for me to buy a set of blades, used or new.

I just switched from some old DCI's to 690MB's, and aside from the first few feeling alittle strange I really hit the blades well. I don't think it's so much your handicap, but more about striking the ball well. I'm very happy with blades, even with my poor scoring since I started playing again, and I'll likely never go back.

Went to a big demo day event and hit anything from Mizuno MX-100's to MP-67's. I honestly did not see a big difference in trajectory and distance between a good shot with the MX-200 and the MP-52's, but I did feel a tremendous difference in feedback. The MX-200's are definitely more forgiving, while the MP-52's feel great on a good shot, but easily lose 20 yards on a bad one.

I hit 6I with MX-200 with ~5mph wind in back about 170y. A block push ended up going 170 as well. A mishit pull lost about 5-10y for 160. The MP-52 went 170y as well, but a mishit pull barely made it over 150y.

I feel the term 'game improvement' is poorly chosen. Yes, it will improve your game, but it might hurt your development if you can't feel the difference between a good shot and a bad one. I love the feedback of the MP-52, but I know I'd be better off with the MX-200 with my handicap and still developing swing.

Agree. I'm about 2 strokes higher than this time last year, but I think it's mostly due to surgery I had a few months back. Blades are easy on the eyes. Sadly, those 695's are the last good looking irons that Titleist put out...

I was using Golfsmith Cavity Pro ( a progressive from Cavity to Blade ) before i got my KZG ZO Blade. I was worried then , where blades are not forgiving as claimed by most. However , i love them after a few rounds using the new set. The FORGED blade are worth every penny. The feel is like cutting the butter with knife . My game improved from then where i can make more shot making. I only have difficulty when handling the 3 and 4 Irons.

Get the CB's!! I have them and they are the best of both worlds! Shape your balls as easily as the MB's + you get more forgiveness!

I grew up playing blades, there were no GI's in those days. My Dad switched to GI's when the Wilson 1200GE's came out. My friends switched to game improvement irons. I have tried both. Personally, I hit it better with blades. Is it because alot of players sweep the ball and that sole mass and weighting gets the ball up in the air? I never had a problem getting the ball in the air, heck I played a #1 iron Australian blade (Dunlop) and got it in the air. I think if you can make good contact with a GI iron, the same is with blades. Fear of hitting blades is unfounded to me. Some may hit GI's appreciably better but that never was in my case. I've mishit blades and the shots aren't horrid. To those that have never used blades, don't be afraid of them, they are great clubs.

couldnt have said it better the worst mishit ive ever had on a blade was so far out on the toe even off the grooved part and only lost 15-20 yds which wen tou think about it aint to bad.

How's... Score improvement clubs?

A couple of years ago I was looking at getting a new set of irons. Been looking at the Titleist 735cm's but figured that was way too much club for me. So I kept hitting different iron brands from Adams to Zevo's. Then at my club a guy decided he needed to get a set more for a senior and decided to sell his 735cm's. So I said the heck with it and picked them up for a nice price. All I can say is I wish I would have gotten these before! The set up was clean, they framed the ball like I thought a golf club should, and as far as forgiveness well they were not nearly as harsh on mis-hits as I thought they would be.

Since then I have hit a number of "players" clubs and some are more forgiving than others but I didn't see the "night and day" difference between players and game improvement. The biggest difference for me was the distance. I would say I am a half to a full club shorter with the 735's than a game improvement but the accuracy especially with the short irons is much better. Maybe I have just convinced myself of the "truth" but I feel if the club looks right and frames the ball that gives you confidence well that's your set.

Just my two cents.
