you call me ignorant? read the statement about wishing cancer on him again, followed by (i don't really, but you get my point). That douch clearly stated he wishes i lose everything one day as he did so i can experience what he did. Im sure you learn a lot by losing loved ones too, but id rather not have someone wish i do so i can learn something.

don't mind IOWA he's just mad cause him and his dad's photo was leaked on the web...

BTW: there are some real a-holes in this forum. i defend a post i made for a friend and get ragged on by these little kids. and when i respond they get all defensive and say i'm the one bent out of shape. he's a disclaimer for you guys. DON'T TALK THE :POO: IF YOU CAN TAKE IT. i'm tired of dealing with little pubescent kids who flex their e-muscles. Steel : its your clubs so you can do whatever you want. you don't have to let any use or borrow anything. if he can't accept that, maybe its time to talk to him about it. cause a real friend should respect your decision (even if he doesn't agree).

lol so if a friend was trapped in a burning building you'd run in to save him, but if his only way out was chopping at a wall with the driver you happened to have in your hand, you'd let him die?

This site has an ignore feature, you know. This is as good a time as any to remind people that they can make use of it.

I have found myself in this very situation. I played a round of golf with someone, let him hit my driver and he proceeded to tee off with it whenever he wanted to hit driver. Frustrating, yes. And my fault. I should have simply set some guidelines and like you was the only one to suffer angst.

Your clubs are your own. While I'll gladly offer tees, balls, divot toolsf and ball markers, the clubs belong to me. I don't ask to use anyone's clubs and really expect the same in return. Call me an ass but all it takes is one wrong swing and there goes a snapped shaft or flying clubhead. What happens next besides "oops?"

Awwwwh, he was hitting it better then you... Man up, turns out this was a good test for your mental capacity within the game. Unfortunately for you a failure was recorded. If he is your friend you let him play with it.

he hit it ONCE better than me, just the 1st hole. I don't play with many people who drive it better than me consistantly.

My opinion:

He should not have asked. You should not have been so upset over it.

What would I do; Lent him my driver and been upset, we are too nice.

Yesterday I was playing with a random guy we got paired up with. I took out my brand new Taylormade R9 3 wood and hit my tee shot. He got up to hit and said he was looking for a new 3 wood, and could he hit mine. I said "sure" and handed it to him. He hit his tee shot, handed it back and life went on.
