I personally prefer Mizunos, but both Vokeys and Clevelands are great wedges.

I bought set (lob/sand/gap) of Cleveland 588 dsg gunmetals from a golf shop on Ebay a few weeks back. Brand new in shrink wrap. Just incredible wedges. I have never hit a wedge so well as with these. I can feel the weight of the clubhead better than my previous wedges. So easy to hit these wedges. Can't recommend them high enough. I searched long and hard in the last month before pulling the trigger. My conclussion, Vokeys and Cleveland are most popular. Some folks like the Callaway, Mizuno, etc.. as well. But for me it came to Cleveland. I feel like I made the right choice. The guy on Ebay has these individually, lob/sand together for $139, or the whole set for $209. I had my clubs in three days after purchase. Edwin Watts has this wedge I am pretty sure.

Played Cleveland wedges for many years. Bought a Vokey 52 and 56 about a year ago. My wedge game has improved tremendously. It may be between my ears and its obviously preference, but I will never own another cleveland wedge. If only I could find a driver I felt so strongly about and confident with.

Driver - TM Tour Burner 9.5*
3 Wood - Callaway Steelhead Plus
Hybrid -Titleist 585H 19*
Irons - Mizuno MP-30
Wedges - Vokey 52* & 56*Putter - SC Newport 2

I am a vokey guy. Played clevelands 588s, CG11/12's for a long while but gravitated back towards the Vokeys. I am sure its mental but I trust those clubs and feel completely comfortable with that 54 or 60 in my hand.

I had played with Clevelands for years, but recently switched to the Mizuno black nickel 52 and 56. Great feel.

Ping hoofer bag Ping G15 10.5* Driver, stock reg shaft Ping G15 3 metal, Aldila 75g Stiff shaft Ping G15 5 metal, Aldila 75g Stiff shaft Mizuno MP 69 3-PW irons, DG S300 shafts Mizuno MP R12 black nickel 52* and 56* gap and sand wedges, DG spinner W+ shafts Mizuno 20* FLiHi Clk hybrids, Project X 5.5 shaft 25 year old Bulls Eye putter, 33" or Ping Anser 2 Scottsdale 34" First round of golf was in 1963 at age 10. Best round -1. 2 Holes-In-One.

I keep my Clevelands in my bag and my vokey in my living room to swing when the sudden urge hits to swing a club.

Cleveland wedges for me. I just got a new set from cleveland and by choice i took the 588 DSG 52,56,60..... the zip groove wedges are great for most but i like controling the spin with my wedges and i cant stand when you hit a good shot and too much spin ruins it. 588 series are my prefference..

      Day 24 9-7 Worked on lower body movement with full swing. Focused on hips. Need to work on setup a bit. Was hoping to get to the short game area today, stayed home and recorded some swings instead. I've come to the conclusion I learn the most with my practice setup at home, just a net and a hitting strip. Overall happy with the progress this week.

      Day 2 (September 7), still with the grip and the medicine ball (using weights).   Still on vacation and really aching to be able to do a full practice the way I'd be able to at home.  Also bought a 1/2" section of pipe today at the hardware store and have been regularly practicing the grip with that too while watching Sunday football with the family.

      Day 1: Worked on feels for wedge swings. Primarily getting everything to move from the top of the backswing in the correct sequence.

      Day 6 (7 Sep 25) - Afternoon pitch session with the 54 and 58 in the backyard. Keys: Alignment - Setup - Smooth swing thru - working on each to be as “automatic” as possible - not mindless, but deliberately repeatable. I have found the precision required to properly execute carries well into the full swings.

      180% is the threshold. But yeah, many of them are close to 200%. Not 120 and 123%. People generate speed differently. I think your speed will come more easily when this stuff gets sorted out. Stay disciplined. Stay on the road. You can't get off exit 74 before you hit exit 32.
