Phil and Geoff Ogilvy have to be my personal favorites.

I also pull for Tiger, Camilo, McIlroy, A.Scott and Jim Furyk.

Tough one. I've always liked Sergio Garcia, but he kinda fell out of favoritism with me when he was whining again after the Masters. He actually said he didnt like Augusta and its unfair?! He went on to say "its just too tricky around here"

That really changed my opinion. Sergio is so talented and full of charisma but man he's got mental issues that obviously affect his putting badly too.

SO, that being said, aside from Tiger who is the man I would say my favorite golfers are Zach, Phil, Duval, Els and Davis Love

guess this means I dont have a favorite anymore until Sergio gets his attitude together. Ive personally met him and hes a really cool guy, I think the media has gotten to his head big time and I have finally grown tired of the bad attitude and childish antics. Time to grow up and win some majors Sergio..

Charles Howell III. I'm probably his #1 fan. Hell, I might be his only fan these days.

I've always been a Lee Janzen fan as well, but his best days are far behind him. Others I enjoy watching are Hunter Mahan, Jim Furyk, Justin Leonard, Zach Johnson, and even ol' Sergio.

I used to love Freddy, I was a standard bearer for him at The Players back when I was about 15 and he was so cool the whole round. Watching him play that course as cool and calm as he did was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Although carrying the sign for Jack was pretty awesome too. But who can forget the commercial: Oh no not Freddy and his new boom boom driver!!

Sergio Garcia is my favorite. I met him at the Barclays last year, real cool guy. Nicest guy that I saw/followed at the event.

Fred Couples, Luke Donald, Jason Day are a few other guys I enjoy watching.

Good post. Freddie has always been one of the coolest golfers out there. He always seems so relaxed and smooth. Great swing, and can still pound it out there.

I really like Furyk and Els. Both seasoned veterans who are class acts. Anthony Kim is fun to watch, but I can't get pumped up about his game lately. Seems like more hype than substance (except for that 1st round of AT&T;).

I've been a Fred Couples fan ever since I stood a few feet from him at the Houston Open in 1998 and watched him hit a 3-wood into 1999...the fairway of 1999, for that matter.

M.A. Jimenez - I love his swing, the mechanics around it and how he gets on with his Golf without throwing clubs around like Mr Woods, Poulter etc.

Miguel - one of the good guys! Hope he goes on and wins The Open!

My favorite is Jim Furyk since my game is like his. I'm a strategist. So definitely Furyk (even though he's a diehard Steelers fan

I hate how he gets over his putts, than backs off. That was enough of a reason for me not to like him.

Tiger is the reason I started playing the game so thats an obvious choice. But AK would be up there as well as Kenny Perry because he love muscle cars and drag racing , like me.

    • In the old days, pre-2020, "playing to your handicap" meant a net score about equal to the Course Rating.  that led to problems when people played against each other from different tees, people playing tees with a lower CR would generally shoot lower scores.  Course Handicaps were adjusted for each competition to make it even, usually lowering the course handicap for the "forward tee" players. So now if you "play to your handicap", the (68.4-72) term means your score will be even par, no matter which tees you play from.  No adjustment needed for people playing from different tees.  Look at your example, the guy shoots 82 every time, his Course Handicap of 10 gives him an even par net score every time.
