Good chance they are legit. I got a great deal on mine at a local golf shop (650 brand new, in JUNE 2008)...

IMHO, go with Timtheputterman. 44458/99.6 feedback. He has tons and tons of gear. If he says it's been hit 1x, it's been hit 1x. I bought my set of MP-57's from him a couple years ago and it was listed as hit once. When I got them, 4-6 irons still had plastic on grips and face, 7 had been hit, 8-pw still wrapped in plastic.

timetheputterman has done right by me, for the record. I got my MP-57 set from a different seller, "customfitter", for $500 - then ebay/paypal/microsoft threw in a $150 rebate so they were net $350 brand new.

I think it's pretty legit.. the ebayer gets positive feedback a lot.. just use paypal and if they arent legit you can report them

Timtheputterman is definately legit, no doubt about it. One of the best sellers of golf equipment on eBay imo. That said, I have seen a lot of MP-57's and MP-67's drop in price lately, but I haven't looked up on the subject. I got my set of MP-57's from timtheputterman, slightly used, you could hardly see they had been hit. Quality seller.

If you buy from eBay, make sure you get the right combination of shaft and flex, also see if the clubs are longer than standard.

i just started, and i think threads like these help new players to find clubs at decent prices from reputable venders.

this is a $899 set for $450 or potentially $405 with the 10% cashback from bing, and it seems legit

I have been watching these auctions for about a week... I have also emailed the seller from both my seller id's with no response. Add the fact that he doesnt accept returns draws my curiosity as well.

It is hard to argue with his 100% feedback though.

      Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.

      Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
