$50 so far since locals get about 50% off the regular rate.  I'd rather play more golf on less prestigious courses, though as I get better I will want to play some of the well known courses.

Always changing:

I'm trying to think of the most I've paid and I don't recall ever spending more than $60 or so.  I have had the opportunity to play some great courses though such as the Norman course at PGA west and the Dunes course at La Quinta Country Club but that was in high school during matches so we obviously didn't have to pay.

> $200 (about 225 or so) to play Banff Springs. I'm not too proud to say I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Wow...my average round costs me $70. For some of you guys that's a lot....

Calgary ( Canada? ) is expensive to golf in.

The States seem a lot cheaper

I paid $139 to play Luana Hills Golf Course in Hawaii while on vacation. Since it was slow, they offered me to come back and pay the resident rate of $39, which I gladly did. Huge difference between tourist/visitor and residents

That's a nice course, I played there a few times when I lived in Virginia.

About $725 to play Pebble Beach with a caddie and rental clubs.  And, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Yea, I played it several times and always enjoyed it. It was nice living in the hotel across the street. Just a short walk to and from the course.

I paid for a threesome at the Ocean Club in the Bahamas which at the time was $250 a pop back in 2004... So that set me back $750.  But I figured since I was getting married that next day, I needed to get out and hit the white ball with my best man and father.

$140 for Oak Pointe at Kiawah, SC. Worth it. It was just me and the gators. I didn't even mind that I played crappy.

300$ TPC @ Sawgrass. Had to go to Jacksonville for a week long conference. My boss booked me in the hilton right next to the course so I had no choice but to bring the clubs and sneak out early one day to play.

Once, not thinking I went to a club wearing jeans and a shirt. Ended up costing me about $200 to play that 18, including pants and a new shirt.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
