Thanks.....yes it can be a little costly, but my wife and I and my daughter had a lot of fun during that time. I'm glad I don't have to scape, sand, wax and paint the bottom this year.

Wow...owning a boat. One of the few recreational activities that can actually make golf seem inexpensive! Welcome back....

I went to the range with my 15 year old son, he plays for his high school golf team. I have not seen him hit balls for over 6 months and I was impressed how far he was hitting the balls, especially with his driver. I can not wait to go out and play a round with him............the experience, priceless!

Hit a Large bucket today outside for the first time (as it was finally up over 40* for a few hours). My CI7 xmas presents did well and I think I like the longer shafts in them. My new Nickent hybrids will take some getting used to. The 18* is good. The 15.5* will take some work.

I gave the last 6 balls to a guy a few stalls down. I was hitting the last 10 balls with my driver, as I tend to do. On ball #4 I really smacked it, dead straight to the back of the range. It was a good way to end the session.

Did some putting and I confirmed that I don't like my putter. I messed with some Taylormade putters with the AGSI+ insert a while back, I may need to find one.

It was nearly 45 degrees by us and I got to go hit some balls finally. Felt great to swing the clubs but I could really feel the rust. I was pulling most of my irons a bit, a manageable bit, but still off the mark. I couldn't hit my new 3 wood at all so I decided to put it back in the bag and not worry about it for now. I shouldn't be, but I was surprised how out of shape I am. I was really tired after about 50 balls and decided to call it a day. I'm excited for more warm weather!

I got to hit a couple of small buckets. I'm going to need some short game practice before I venture on to the course for a real round.

LOL, didn't tell my wife I was going to play golf today, but I took my car (which always has my gear in it) when I went to the bank. Then I took a detour to see if the snow had melted and saw one golfer out there. Next thing I know, I'm walking 18 wearing the wrong clothes, with no water and no snacks. It was great even though it never got over 47F. Came home four hours later and my wife said, oh, you went golfing too? Did you bring home eggs? Yes, I did.

I hit balls at the range today, the 1st time I have hit since late October.

Awful just awful.....I've never been in such a rush to finish the bucket, it was the worst session I've ever had.

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.
    • Day 123 12-13 Rotation and getting to lead side work. Recorded face on. Hit a few foam balls but did plenty of rehearsals today.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
