I feel like when im putting I have no stability. I cant pull back in a straight line and when I follow through to hit the ball or even practice im all over the place. Are there any tips or tricks to help me keep my face square and putt more stable? indoor drills would be good too if you know any. thanks.

Two things have helped my putting stroke: keeping either my right elbow or both elbows close to my body during the stroke, and slowing down my takeaway.

A pro was watchin me putt at a practice facility recently and he had me try a drill to shorten the length of my backstroke on my putts and it really improved my consistency.

Put something about 6-8" or so behind the ball along the target line, and putt without hitting it on your backstroke. Odds are this will seem like you're taking too short a stroke but I bet you'll be surprised how much roll you get out of this and how fluid the stroke becomes.

For me the spot is about the middle of my back foot, but it depends on your setup really. I haven't played applying this technique yet, but it looks promising at this point.

Beyond that, the less you engage your wrists/hands, the more stable the stroke will be, always.

I usually focus on leading the backswing with my left shoulder, and leading the forward swing with my right shoulder. That way I'm always "pushing" the club in the direction it needs to go, as pushing motions generally feel more stable than pulling motion.
