I'll be glad to see Allenby fall by the wayside. He didn't show much class a last years Presidents Cup. Throwing jabs at AK then getting his butt whooped by him.

Jabs at AK

after getting his butt whooped, I thought. Nice ace today. Nice follow-up double bogey a few holes later, too.

Nice to see Ernie back on top. VJ and Phil aren't far behind. It would be nice to see two of those three in the final group on Sunday. Harrington and Villegas still in it also. Whats up with AK and Rory Mac?

Great day -- my wife is enjoying watching golf.
First the Honda Classic, now this.

Good to see Ernie and Vijay are playing well. Paddy is coming around. Schwartzel is impressive, he made a lot of clutch putts.

What a difference a day makes! If I heard the commentators right, the average drive on 18 was 380, today.

I heard that myself but I think they said 308. They did have a hell of a wind behind them though.

Who needs Tiger for a great tournament!!! Tomorrow should be filled with great golf.

Can't say I've missed him; can't say I gave it more than a passing thought, if that.
Both the wife and I have really enjoyed watching the Honda and the Doral, thus far.

Camillo was impressive in the Honda, and like others have said, great to see Ernie and Vijay rounding back into form. Schwartzel is a cool customer, looks like he's on a mission.

Gonna be some competition with ice-hockey for TV time for me though today since the Rangers are on at 3 and game of the week involves the Blackhawks who are also worth taking a squizz at. The remote is going to be doing overtime.
But if my wife wants to see the golf through, I'll defer, because anything that gets her more interested in golf and closer to taking that interest onto the course, I'll gladly support -- there's a 3-some waiting for her to make it a 4-some.

agreed, the doral has been a fun tournament to watch, today should be a great day of golf.

on a side, i don't know if you guys feel the same but johnny miller pisses me off to no end as a commentator. he sits so tall up on his high horse, i'm surprised they can fit him in the tower. anyway, yesterday was the first time he actually entertained me w/o pissing me off. ernie had a difficult pitch over a bunker with about 3ft of green to work. in the middle of ernie's backswing someone else said, "i don't think he has a enough room to get this close", ernie proceeded to pitch the ball and pull the string within that 3ft and stopped the ball right beside the hole, w/o blinking johnny miller says, "what do you think now?"

but i still don't like him....

I haven't missed him out of the field as much as I expected this year ... however, the absence is usually more obvious on Sundays. Let's hope the leaders down the stretch play well and go get it this afternoon.

Charl wearing all black today. Guess we know who else he looked up to growing up.

I'm sure most South African players would quote Player as their main inspiration.

Great to see the leaders playing and scoring well. We've seen a lot of poor scoring from leaders in final rounds this year so far, pressure I suppose.I like to see the leaders really go for it when they can.At least at the end they'll have really earned the win.
A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

Is anyone else having trouble with the XM-146 stream today? I just came to the office to write about streaming data and a data stream I want to listen to fails on me.

    • Day 7 - Mirror work, trying to hit that PGA-logo position in my follow through. Mirror really helped, need to film soon.
    • So hit the😝 irons crooked AND play layup golf?? Hahaha.. no thanks. I would rather stay home. 😊
    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
